Billain
Making waves in the drum & bass and neurofunk scenes since 2008, Billain is a highly talented producer, DJ and sound designer hailing from Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Anchored in classic electronic music influences like The Prodigy and Aphex Twin, much of Billain's lengthy musical history is a chart of strength after strength, laying claim to releases on esteemed underground labels such as Critical Music, Invisible, Eatbrain, Bad Taste, OWSLA and Renraku.
Rising to prominence in osu! via the critically acclaimed multi-part collab beatmap for Boogie headed by Spaghetti in early 2016, Billain's sound has long held a place in the upper ends of osu!'s competitive echelons. A modern fusion of atmospheric sound and classical neurofunk influences set within the familiarity of the drum & bass genre, mappers keen on a fresh take on more longform tracks will find an absolute abundance of melodic progression and interwoven motifs to work with.
