Electronic rock producer garlagan sprouted into the music world thanks to a fascination with video games. Inspired by the soundtrack to Castlevania: Symphony of the Night as a kid, he began playing the guitar with hopes of creating songs that would fit a Castlevania-styled game. Later through artists like Iron Maiden, Paul Gilbert, and Muse, garlagan pulled techniques that made their way into his guitar pieces and electronically styled songs published on Newgrounds.

Sporting a sound somewhere between pop, rock, and EDM, garlagan's complex sound supports countless styles of beatmap design and is suited for both new and experienced mappers alike.
