---------------
This is an Evanescence song, taken from the album Origin. It begins with the slow, deep and a bit creepy chorus, then come the cool guitars and a faster rythm.
I shortened the song to make it more playable, there's an easy, a normal and a hard mode.
This is my first official beatmap, at least that's the first one I'm actually proud of.
There's video footage with the hard mode, it's the band singing the song live, only recut to match the studio version.
This is what I think (and hope) will be my final version.

I can see you put some effort into this. I respect that, especially for relatively new mappers (I see you've done a few others.)

Anyways, a little too much effort into the timing though :P A simple BPM of 41.25 works the whole way through. But that's half of the BPM, so use 82.5. Your offset is good.

Now, the circle size is quite small for normal.. but your fade is really slow. This is pretty unique though and balances out so I'm actually going to give it the oh-kay as long as you fix up your spacing inconsistancies.

By spacing inconsistancies, I mean that the distance of notes on the timeline should be relevent to the distance on the playing field. If notes 1, 2, and 3 are all a full beat apart, they should all be spaced equally accross the field.

Take 00:17:75 for an example. Notes 1-4 are all spaced evenly on the field however 1 and 2 are a half beat while 3 and 4 all full beats. You should space them accordingly.

That is just one example. There's several inconsistancies throughout the map.

Fix them up and I'll give this another check :) Feel free to PM me once you feel it's improved because I tend to forget.

Thanks for all the advices. ;)
I just corrected the spacing inconstencies, timing and circle size, and will re-submit after making sure everything's good. :)

EDIT : Submitted the improved Normal version.
Now I'll start working on a harder one :)

Normal is fine with me, waiting for the other difficulty.

After having scrupulously checked the beat placement at 0,25x and played each difficulty again and again, I'd like to submit this beatmap for ranking. :)
Thanks ! :D

Okay... generally I am fine with it except for a few small tiny issue:

- Starting from 01:27:39... beatspacing seems become very inconsistent. :(... Recheck it and fix it XD
- I also think the use of 1/8th is a little unnecessary?

For now, starred! :)

Wow, thanks a lot ! :)
I've uploaded a new version with 1/6 Divisor and new beatspacing for some parts. I also re-"distance-snapped" the whole song. :D

Thank you for the in-depth list. ;)
Uploaded a fixed version.
I'm thinking of dropping the video though. :|

More nitpicking. :P

Normal:

00:44:12 (5) - You can delete this XD
00:51:29 (1) - Move it to 00:51:29
00:52:57 (3) - Move it to 00:52:66... make it end at 00:53:02
00:59:12 (2,3) - Move these back to 00:59:02 XD
01:00:22 (1,2) - Move them back to 01:00:29
01:02:05 (1) - Move it to 01:01:93
01:02:11 (2) - Move it to 01:02:29
01:08:42 (3) - Move it to 01:08:48
01:33:99 (2) - Move it back to 01:33:93
01:34:23 (3) - Move it back to 01:34:11

Actually, generally... you really could forgo the 1/6th divisor and go to 1/4th, it'll sound much more accurate for the vocals as well the guitar from what I have seen. Fix these and also change your divisor from 1/6th to 1/4th. I'll look at it again. :)

Thanks. The 1/4th does indeed fit the song more.
I resnaped notes and fixed some sliders. :D

Little bump, because I'll be going on holidays and I don't want to find this in the graveyard when I get back... :o

I'd like this map to be resurrected if that's not too much trouble, as I spent quite a lot of time on it and seeing it here makes me sad. :(
