a skype box would be useful for some people since skype is more popular these days

If it were me, i'd just delete all of those things. (AOL messenger? lol)
Empty boxes that you can name yourself, or select something from a scroll list would be better, and they would actually be used..

Skype is more used than anything on that list though.. so yeah why not

Sorry, but I use this messenger.
Perhaps you shouldn't base messenger usage on your own personal usage. These options for profile are installed on phpBB by default, and shouldn't be any harder to implement any new profile fields.
