Collab between
Taki
and Mitsuha
(He mapped left, she mapped right)

Spoiler: Mapping Concept
In the movie Kimi no Na wa, there's a scene where Taki and Mitsuha are on top of a mountain trying to find each other. I wanted to replicate this in my mapping by only mapping either on the left side of the screen (Taki trying to find Mitsuha) or on the right side of the screen (Mitsuha trying to find Taki). They are finally able to see each other, during the few minutes of "Twilight", so I went with a symmetrical mapping style only for the final Kiai in order to capture this moment between the two characters. I hope you'll enjoy this beautiful song!

Watched the movie now because of this Map, loved it! Have a star

  1. "HP = 0"
  2. perhaps add "kimi no na wa" to tags
  3. "1365x768" t r i g g e r e d
  4. 00:46:221 (3) - you've mapped all of the guitar sounds in this section like at 00:40:507 (3) - and 00:51:936 (3,4,5) - but not here?
  5. 01:06:579 (3) - maybe a 1/4 slider to emphasise the vocals better (because the vocals isn't just at the current one tick)
  6. 01:22:650 (1,2,3,4) - perhaps make some inherited timing points with climbing volume?
  7. 01:29:079 (3) - would be nice to see this as a 1/4 slider then circle similar to 01:26:221 (3,4) -
  8. 01:41:221 (1) - space for emphasis?
  9. 01:43:721 (2,3) - would space the circle 3 further apart for emphasis
  10. 02:59:614 (4,5) - it may just be me, but this sounds offtimed (i.e. guitar sounds start before the object does)
  11. 03:34:793 (3) - This slider design doesn't look like something you would usually do ;_; (It's actually the only trapezium slider in the entire diff). In addition to that, personally I find the flow at 03:34:793 (3,4) - rather uncomfortable compared to the rest of the difficulty since slider 3 is pointing away from the next object circle 4. If the circle were to be inside the curve of the slider 3 and slider 1 starts where circle 4 currently is (slider going upwards though), I think it would flow better that way as it eliminates the the sharp turn off slider 3 end.
  12. 04:48:364 (1) - perhaps a 1/2 repeat slider would fit better due to the guitar?
  13. 05:43:186 - add a circle here for the drum sound? It would also add more variety to the dullish 1/2 rhythm at this part

  1. lol hp=0 for 4.4? are you serious? I think it's really really low for this starrate.
  2. I suggest to add whistles on every end sound in every NC from 00:01:222 - to 00:24:079 - i.e 00:05:329 - 00:11:043 - 00:16:757 - 00:22:471 - I suggest it because I want to make start a bit more hitsounded, since it has only whistles on every tact start.
  3. I suggest to add whistles on places like 00:27:650 - 00:33:364 - to make this part more interesting on hitsounds.
  4. 00:28:007 (4) - let change it to 2 sliders, because sounds on start and end are simillar and strong. shitty example xd http://shmiklak.s-ul.eu/7zDWPQuH
  5. 00:41:221 (1) - why did you ignore drum on 00:41:400 - ? you didn't ignore them anywhere in this part, so I don't see any reasons to ignore it here. Rythm here should be simillar as previous and next simillar tacts http://shmiklak.s-ul.eu/GVZEbrKp

damn it. too much perfect ;w; srry for shit mod. best of luck owo

I actually haven't seen the movie but judging from the ending of the map they make love right?
decline everything if you will cause it's fine as it is

00:06:936 (1,2) - I honesty prefer this timing, the first articulation of the vocal is more distinct compared to the later part which suggest a hold.

00:08:186 (3,4) - stacking these would be nice

00:09:436 (5,6) - ^

00:20:864 (6,7) - ^

00:21:757 (8,9) - ^

00:38:364 (1,2,3) - would've expected bigger spacing considering the vocals

00:49:793 (1,2) - ^

01:43:721 (2,3) - I feel like this should have more impact, maybe use anti flow or add more spacing, or both.

02:07:650 (3) - It feels better if this was split into 1/4 + a note, in which the note stack on 02:08:186 (1) -, feels awkward to hold for so much for such a calm section

03:34:793 (3) - this felt really out of place in terms of aesthetics

04:28:900 (2) - splitting this into two notes, make it a jump to 04:29:436 (3) -

04:49:079 (3) - just want to know the reasoning for using a slider instead of two notes, cause the drums are pretty prominent

05:31:221 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - don't you want to juice up the spacing here considering the spacing for the ending here I did one for you, I'm mean the bloody vocals are imo the most intense here in the entire song, this is also a problem I have, which is the first 6 minutes seem weak compared to the ending.which isn't actually a problem since it's just my way of building up intensity, would be great if you increase the note density for some of the sections cause there's a pretty big discrepancy between the ending and some of the relatively less intense sections like 04:48:364 (1) -

  8. 01:41:221 (1) - space for emphasis? I prefer the current set up. I just Ctr+G'ed the slider for a sharper flow
  9. 01:43:721 (2,3) - would space the circle 3 further apart for emphasis Sure
  10. 02:59:614 (4,5) - it may just be me, but this sounds offtimed (i.e. guitar sounds start before the object does) Yea, fixed the timing

  12. 04:48:364 (1) - perhaps a 1/2 repeat slider would fit better due to the guitar? Prefer 1/1 slider, the 1/2 repeat works, but i don't really like 1/2 repeat slider movements as much as 1/1 sliders. I think a long and consistent movement is better here.
  13. 05:43:186 - add a circle here for the drum sound? It would also add more variety to the dullish 1/2 rhythm at this part Yea, Added Milan basically made me add it for hitsounding too lol.

decline everything if you will cause it's fine as it is

00:06:936 (1,2) - I honesty prefer this timing, the first articulation of the vocal is more distinct compared to the later part which suggest a hold. Ehh idk I prefer my current rhythm.

00:08:186 (3,4) - stacking these would be nice I want the spacing here to emphasize the flowbreak

00:09:436 (5,6) - ^

00:20:864 (6,7) - ^ But this, and the one above, I can stack

00:21:757 (8,9) - ^ This one, no for symmetry

00:38:364 (1,2,3) - would've expected bigger spacing considering the vocals Idk... vocals aren't that emphasized here tho

00:49:793 (1,2) - ^ ^

01:43:721 (2,3) - I feel like this should have more impact, maybe use anti flow or add more spacing, or both. Bigger Jump

02:07:650 (3) - It feels better if this was split into 1/4 + a note, in which the note stack on 02:08:186 (1) -, feels awkward to hold for so much for such a calm section I don't want to use such a dense rhythm yet xP. My rhythm works anyways, its just simpler

03:34:793 (3) - this felt really out of place in terms of aesthetics i guess... I wanna keep though, its just different, I want to use some differnt sliders too lol

04:28:900 (2) - splitting this into two notes, make it a jump to 04:29:436 (3) - I prefer what i have atm. I want the slider-end to map to that chime sound so you release when you hear it. It plays really nicely for me.

04:49:079 (3) - just want to know the reasoning for using a slider instead of two notes, cause the drums are pretty prominent It gives a better set up imo. I don't think circles are necessary here, and the next section while being a chorus, isn't the main focus yet, its like a prelude (as you can tell by the SV choice)

05:31:221 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - don't you want to juice up the spacing here considering the spacing for the ending here I did one for you, I'm mean the bloody vocals are imo the most intense here in the entire song, this is also a problem I have, which is the first 6 minutes seem weak compared to the ending.which isn't actually a problem since it's just my way of building up intensity, would be great if you increase the note density for some of the sections cause there's a pretty big discrepancy between the ending and some of the relatively less intense sections like 04:48:364 (1) - Yea, I made the jumps a lot bigger.

  1. 00:10:329 (7) - Maybe make this like the others after, with it ending in a circle right after so that it covers both vocals. Here especially because I feel like it wouldn't take away from anything you already have, and it's not too complex//fast for this part
  2. 01:20:507 (3,4) - Just personal preference, but maybe move these two down just a little so that 3 doesn't overlap with 2
  3. 01:28:364 (1,2) - I tried both ways, and I think its better if you ctrl g 2 here, and I think thats maybe because your cursor is already moving in a counter clockwise direction, so continuing that direction would be comfortable.
  4. 02:14:079 (1) - This red point is pretty close to the center of the slider, so maybe you can try moving to the center and see how you like it
  5. 02:36:043 (2) - Maybe cut this slider short and place a circle over 02:36:936 (1) to follow vocals, i understand variety but just having one out of place part seems weird (to me)
  6. 02:54:614 (2,3,4,5) - Maybe put a little more emphasis on this? I see what your doing with 02:55:150 (5,1) but I think its good for the buildup too (not as big as 5 and 1 though)
  7. 03:34:793 (3) - Why not just have this slider blanketing 03:35:507 (1) with a curve instead because it looks like you have mainly curved sliders in the song, and having a box around another note doesn't really look that good imo
  8. 04:13:721 (4,1) -I think his long vocal note starts on 04:13:721 , never mind I see that you were hitting that small drum sound lol
  9. 04:28:900 (2) - Maybe ctrl g for better flow
  10. 04:31:757 (2) - Same as above....? Not sure what to say here because if you do that to this as well, it leads a little weird into 04:32:293 (3) so its up to you i guess
  11. 04:55:864 (2,3) - Personally I like patterns like this , because i feel like its awkward to have a back and forth motion with curves in the same direction
  12. 04:58:007 (5,1) - Perhaps something like this to prevent the weird overlap it currently has
  13. 06:41:221 (1,2) - Maybe you could do something with the drum sound that are in between these two
  14. 06:49:079 (1,2,3,4,1) - oo Pretty :D
Wonderful map!~

hi, lets try find something...

Twilight
  1. 00:32:650 (1) - this slider out of my screen, its fine? xd Screen
  2. 02:19:079 (2,3,1) - um, I bad feel flow here :( that beat 02:19:614 (3) - and that vocal 02:19:793 (1) - sounds pretty strong for that straight pattern
  3. 02:54:079 (1) - what about remove reverse here or make it 1/1 and follow drums only like you did here 04:48:364 (1) - ?
  4. 03:00:487 (3) - sounds pretty strong, should be there jump like this 03:08:721 (2,3) - ?
  5. 03:11:936 (3) - hmm, before you emphasize strong sounds like that with little jump or higher space like this 02:56:936 (1,2) - , but here this looks regular with 1/1, you can try increase spacing a little or make here 03:11:579 (2) - slider, which follow vocal and makes jump as well
  6. 03:14:793 (3,4) - hmm, I think no reasons for that space here. There no sounds and vocal starts on end of slider. May be you should for exmaple stack it cricle with end of this slider 03:14:436 (2) - this space fits more and give you here 03:15:329 (4,1) - jump, which works perfect with strong beat
  7. 04:25:150 (3) - here circle, but here 04:28:007 (3) - slider. Why?
  8. 04:34:078 (1,3) - looks like both objects must be circles?
  9. 04:40:507 (3) - still hear this long sound like here 04:36:221 (3) - dont you want emphasize it with slider too? Or may be not... idk, I just dont see where you can put this slider without ruining patterns
  10. 04:54:793 (3,4) - sounds like 3 circles
  11. I just read Marvollo's mod and noticed thing about spinner, probably I hear like "long wind sound" starts here 06:16:444 - or may be on blue tick xd
  12. 06:50:150 (4,1) - Hmm, this is 1/4 ~168 BPM jump? For me playable, but I am not sure... After slider this feels liks 1/2 for 168 BPM. Anyway I can suggest you move it to x:256 y:126

hi, lets try find something...

Twilight
  1. 00:32:650 (1) - this slider out of my screen, its fine? xd Screen Checked, and its fine.
  2. 02:19:079 (2,3,1) - um, I bad feel flow here :( that beat 02:19:614 (3) - and that vocal 02:19:793 (1) - sounds pretty strong for that straight pattern i think the flow is fine here.
  3. 02:54:079 (1) - what about remove reverse here or make it 1/1 and follow drums only like you did here 04:48:364 (1) - ? Prefer current rhythm. It puts more emphasis on to drums which is what i want.
  4. 03:00:487 (3) - sounds pretty strong, should be there jump like this 03:08:721 (2,3) - ? did something
  5. 03:11:936 (3) - hmm, before you emphasize strong sounds like that with little jump or higher space like this 02:56:936 (1,2) - , but here this looks regular with 1/1, you can try increase spacing a little or make here 03:11:579 (2) - slider, which follow vocal and makes jump as well did something yea.
  6. 03:14:793 (3,4) - hmm, I think no reasons for that space here. There no sounds and vocal starts on end of slider. May be you should for exmaple stack it cricle with end of this slider 03:14:436 (2) - this space fits more and give you here 03:15:329 (4,1) - jump, which works perfect with strong beat ok
  7. 04:25:150 (3) - here circle, but here 04:28:007 (3) - slider. Why? Just some rhythm variety.
  8. 04:34:078 (1,3) - looks like both objects must be circles? Nah. Variety is ebtter here because the song is so simple.
  9. 04:40:507 (3) - still hear this long sound like here 04:36:221 (3) - dont you want emphasize it with slider too? Or may be not... idk, I just dont see where you can put this slider without ruining patterns I want to keep here, for 1/1 gap variation.
  10. 04:54:793 (3,4) - sounds like 3 circles Both work, so i want mine cuz this rhythm fits better im my head.
Anyway I can suggest you move it to x:256 y:126 Made it a stack instead.

Thanks for the mod! The stack mod was super helpful tbh. I'm really critical about stuff like that, so if you ever mod my maps in the future, Stuff like this i 100% accept and won't judge you xD.

01:02:650 (1,2) - 01:09:793 (1,2) - 01:20:150 (2,3) - 01:41:221 (1,2) - 02:16:579 (3,1) - 03:33:364 (3,4) - 04:43:364 (3,4) - 04:51:579 (2,3) - mm These overlaps didn't really felt nice along your overall visuals, but well fine if you are okay with these.
01:29:257 - Considering you've expressed the rhythm of 01:26:400, skipping out this one for the sake of patterning didn't felt consistent enough or reflecting the song nicely.
02:36:936 (1,2) - Is this jump necessary? Considering the spacing of 02:31:221 (1,2) - 02:34:079 (1,2) etc, I feel this inconsistent.

Discussed in game. I'd prefer to keep them because of the unique flows they bring.

Not gonna lie, the 86bpm 1/8 05:31:221 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - really trips you up after 5 minutes of singletap :P but it's what the drums are doing sooo

Really nice map, good luck!

Fixed that one slider.

Bubble #2.

I absolutely love the way you mapped it setting object placements on half-left and half-right for each particular verse that fit the BG!!!!!!!!
Thank you for mapping this Monstrata! :)

Thanks Frostmourne :D.

Oh, also, in the introduction and the final kiai chorus, I switch to a symmetrical mapping style instead of half-left/half-right. The idea was inspired by the Twilight scene and how they kept searching for each other, and finally meet again at the end.
