Same score can give different things
Were you playing it by yourself, or were you watchingBeatrice's replay?
If the score is the same, when playing/watching replay it gives #1 is score is tied to #1, while you are not

I wasn't watching a replay, I was playing.
The only condition other than this for Pain to not have first would be to watch his replay, right?

If they have the same score it might order them in alphabetical order? Thats my guess.. lol

Confirmed.

1st place with same scores are something related to their nicknames.

They are showed by alphabetical order.

I thought it was a first come first served situation if you get the same score as someone else
Look at global ranking (selected mods) on a no-spinner map if you're supporter, the scores are all sorted by date when they're all SS

Out of game, sorted by date
In the game, sorted by alphabet?

I don't know how it works out of the game.

But in-game it's showed by alphabetical order.
