[Archived] Osu reread the osu db ever few songs

Problem Details:
When clicking in songselection and looking for a song, osu begins randomly to reread all songs for the osu db. It couse one time, ok, it couse the second time and i have to restart osu to play.

The problem i have only on my laptop (WIn 7, getting directory permissions taking too long and osu canceled, having 1500 different mapsets).
Have i reinstall or what can i do?

osu! version: 20141015.1 (latest)

Can't you force maps permissions via the osu! option menu?

Try to close osu, then go to osu! folder and delete osu!.db (if you see more than one, delete them all) then run osume.exe afterward

osume.exe crashed (endless error messages, had to kick the process) - so i reinstall osu now :/

What the FUCK at all these suggestions.

Do NOT delete osu!.db. Do NOT run osume (it is deprecated). You have a corrupt beatmap in your songs folder. It's likely the mp3s are missing, or something else has fiddled with your files. Find which beatmap is corrupt and remove it.
