Requested Taiko Mod
[Kantan]
00:26:015 (1) - Not a must, but consider to start the spinner here 00:25:599. The long it is, the easier beginners can learn to spin it.
00:31:224 (2) - I suggest to move this note to 00:31:432, it confused beginners really much. Tested this on people in real. lolol
00:34:557 (2) - to 00:34:765
00:37:890 (2) - to 00:38:099
01:24:349 (1) - Ou, this should be deleted. For Kantan it's a too short spinner which will confuse players. You could start here with the spinner 01:23:932.
Decent kantan we have here. Good.
[Futsuu]
00:28:515 (3,6) - I suggest to delete these two and add a don at 00:30:182. The reason is, it draws the attention to themselves before the part at 00:30:599 even starts. So the upcoming parts effect is lower, so having a rising note use would prevent this problem(1/1 -> 1/2).
00:31:224 (2) - Here it's not a must, but maybe move to 00:31:432. Same to similiar patterns.
↑ If this is done I could suggest you following pattern which makes the futsuu a bit easier and maybe sounding in a better way?
00:31:432~00:36:432 - k k d d k x D x k d d k k | You would have here a great mirror effect which fits eto the song as well.
00:37:265~00:39:765 - D x k k d d K | attached to the previous suggested pattern?
01:24:349 (1) - Same as in Kantan, or something similiar?
Good Futsuu.
[Muzukashii]
Hm, some text here:The spread is a little high between Futsuu and Muzukashii because Muzukashii is mapped a bit too tricky.
In a muzukashii you are allowed to use different spacing between notes, but this usage has also some border which should be avoided to overstep. Overall the Muzukashii is mapped okay, but since it contains many different spacings, followed by two-plets notes, it makes it complicated to play and calls for a higher difficultie spread. Some parts could be considered as Easy-Oni level.
Tl;dr: Try having less different spacings and add more triplets to have a well-balanced spread between Futsuu <- Muzu -> Oni.
[Oni]
00:10:599 - Instead of such complicated stream I would recommend an rather simple one like: ddkkddkkdkdkdkdk k D or ddkkddkkdkdkddkkd k D to avoid having a higher spread in the diff itself. Also you got rather simple patterns in the whole Oni, so simple streams would fit better in my opinion.
00:30:599 -
Great usage of d kd k d patterns!
00:56:432 (15,16,17,18,19,20,21) - I really think having a monton don stream would be enough or dddkk / ddddk. The reason is that the kats feel overused here; not fitting. Also the low sound of the dons make aftewards coming kiai effect stronger, due to kat usage.
I need to be honest that this is one of a handfull Onis I really like. It is clearly seeable that you mapped systematic and this achieves a high quality for the map. Pattern has been placed wisely. Reminds me a bit of jiiro.
Well done.
[Inner Oni]
00:00:599~00:10:390 - Not sure about this part. How about this:
00:10:599 - I'm not sure about this. I'm sure there are better solution for this. I will give one suggestion:
00:20:043 (19,20,21) - Better don't use such 1/6 patterns. Looks weird and plays weird in my opinion. Just use dk here.
00:25:807 (30,1) - Mh, this is questionable. You can keep it, but maybe only a spinner is enough.
00:50:043 (18,19,20) - Same as above.
00:56:432 (16,17,18,19,20,21,22) - Same case as in Oni. Though, in the Inner it fits better since you have overall harder patterns.
01:05:043 (18,19,20) - Same as above.
01:18:376 (19,20,21) - Same as above.
01:24:140 (30,1) - Mh, this is questionable. You can keep it, but maybe only a spinner is enough.²
Really solid Inner. Overall a good usage of 1/6, didn't expect this, really.
Well, that's it. I must admit that you suprised me in several points. I think this map is mapped on a really high "mapper-skill" level which is rare.
Normaly people rather tend to "copy" the beat of the song, but you made also your own beats and managed it to refine it with 1/6 beats. This is truly remarkable.
What I have noticed is, that you have some problems to mphasize specific sections through another one, like for example the don-stream I suggested right before the second kiai starts or the beginning of the Inner Oni.
You have many ways to emphasize patterns or sectiona in a map like,
- keeping itensionaly mphasized breaks to be able to receive an standing out part;
- acceleraiting from 1/1 to 1/4 parts;
- or the usage of one kind of note to be able to mphasize the second one.
There are even more possibile ways e.g. SV changes and special ways of having a part which feels like a kiai, but hasn't got the kiai script.
Have a star from me and good luck!
