[Archived] small lag on the start of every drag with wacom bamboo

I'm trying to play osu with my wacom bamboo tablet. Sometimes I only use the tablet to position my cursor, but sometimes I also tap with the point of the pen for clicking.

My issue is that after I start dragging my pen across the tablet, the cursor seems to be frozen in place for a short period. After a quarter of a second it starts moving again (but it is enough for a miss on fast sliders).

Note that there is no problem when the pen doesn't touch the surface of the tablet. Also there is no problem when the pen is already touching the surface.
The issue is only present when I start a drag.

Also I'm not only experiencing this issue in osu, but in some other applications, like doodleordie.com and other "drawing" flash apps, paint.net (but simple paint or photoshop are fine).

About 1 week ago I was not experiencing this issue, is there something that changed about the tablet handling since then? I know that it is not just an issue with osu, but if there is a way of working around this, it would fantastic.

(Also I'm not sure if this is related to press and hold which is bugged in windows 8)

I'm using Windows 8, my wacom bamboo is a CTH-461, my driver version is 5.3.0-3

EDIT: This is the same issue here: http://forum.wacom.eu/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=11787

This should fix your issue. It is just simple disabling of the feature.

e: Just realized you are using Win8, well still might give it a shot anyways.

There is a link im my post which points to the win8 version of the win7 guide which is referenced in the post you have referenced.
This sentence made no sense :D but was trying to say I have already went through it and had no luck.

This sounds more like a driver incompatibility than something with osu!.

Yes, because quite possibly this IS an issue with the driver. But some applications (such as windows paint) are able to work around it.

Since wacom bamboo is a fairly popular tablet model and Windows 8 is spreading like a plague this issue might become fairly common in time.

And so it might be worth looking into (despite the fact that it's "not osu's fault").
