[Archived] Fps drop using 240 or unlimited fps

My osu has been lagging lately; whenever i use the 240fps or unlimited fps option it causes fps drop during gameplay. I tried all possible fixes i can find in the internet: defragging, ccleaner, closing unneeded programs, etc. I cant make any delicious plays because im only using 120fps and have an input lag of 8-8.5

im using an acer laptop so here are my specs:

4gb ram

core i3-5005U @ 2.00GHz

64bit

2 250gb hdd

Try these
  1. Does your PC have a video card? Try running osu! with the graphics card/if it is, switch to integrated graphics and see if that improves performance.
  2. Make sure osu! runs in High Priority in Task Manager
  3. Run osu! in fullscreen mode
  4. Disable any enhancements like shaders, videos, etc.
  5. Lower the game's resolution
