So I recently got a new mouse with all the fancy stuff like macro-keys and LEDs. I have one question though: Is it allowed to toggle DPI with the mouse buttons during a play? Is it considered cheating?

No, it isn't cheating
It probably isn't, yet if you still are unsure then don't use it

I actually did read the wiki first.

Manipulation or alteration of the client such as score hacking, macroing, affecting the timescale on which the client operates, auto-aim, and anything that generally removes the human element from play is considered cheating. If you have to ask if something is considered cheating, and you have to use an external program to achieve that effect, it probably is.

In my opinion, using an hardware dpi switch is a macro-function. Thats why I asked on the forums.
Kao
Macroing in that context means using an external program to make predefined clicks in order to cheat your score without tapping.
I don't know if how DPI button could even help you in your play, you would end up being unused to the sensitivity and just fail the map
