For one of my recent beatmaps, I used the artist name µ's. The character µ is a greek character, so it is not a standard character. When using the standard english client with an American copy of Windows, everything works out fine, but on Star Stream's client he got
(Star deleted the picture, but it showed screwed up unicode on the top right of the osu! client (after you picked a song))
I tried replicating the issue, on my computer by changing osu's language, but the display was okay. As a result, I think it is a problem with how windows reads things.
Question 1: Is this problem solvable on osu!'s client?
Question 2: Should I just switch the artist to u's to avoid this issue?
Edit: osu! client doesn't allow me to switch it be u's

Thanks for your help!
Edit: It also seems that foreign characters fail on osu!direct as well
