You can still ignore him in-game, and you can ignore forum PMs by foes by making them auto-delete via rules & settings, or just mark as read or throw them into another folder, aside from that not much you can do, except ignore him while not actually ignoring him.

I know, but i think peppy doesn't like the foes option to begin with, i remember something like that from veeeery long ago, and the option is still there so dont quote me on that, but it would be nice if mutual friendship didnt show up if one of the 2 had the other as foe instead of friend.
Edit: Maybe should change thread title, and fix the OP a bit reflecting the actual issue which i just explained, and maybe i can confirm this and see what happens.
