How do I register?
1. On the , click "I'm new!" to start the registration process.
2. Fill out all fields in the form below and press "Continue"
|1. Username||Your name on osu!. This name will be your primary username used for logging in to all osu!-affiliated services, and will be the name permanently displayed to others unless you decide to change your username at any point in time. Choose wisely! You can only change your name for free once with the purchase of a supporter tag. Any name changes after cost real-world money, to which the cost will exponentially increase (to the power of 2) every change.|
|a. Maximum of 15 characters|
|b. Alphanumeric characters ("a-z, A-Z, 0-9"), underscores ("_"), squared brackets, ("[" and "]") and dashes ("-") are the only characters allowed.|
|2. E-mail Address||This address will be used during password recovery and, in the event that it's needed, will also be used if you need to e-mail osu!support for any reason. You will need to verify this e-mail address if you need to change your avatar, profile details, or account information. If you are asked for verification more than once, make a post on the forums, as it shouldn't happen and is therefore classified as a bug.|
|3. Password||This is the password you will use to log in to the wiki, forums, website, and the game itself. Make sure your password is secure!|
|4. Note||A message stating that you must have osu! readily available on your computer to complete registration.|
|5. Continue button||The continue button will only appear once all required fields are filled in correctly. This will lead you to the final step of the registration process, which is simply logging in to the game to complete account activation.|
3. Log in to osu! and the process is finished. You have successfully registered an osu! account!
|1. osu! executable||This executable (which should be named osu!.exe) will open the game itself. If updates are required, they will be applied automatically.
|2. Options panel||If this is your first time starting osu!, you will see this on the left side of your game's screen. Enter your username and password to their respective fields and log in.|
|3. User panel||Once you've entered your username and password correctly, you will see your user panel at the top left of your screen. You are now logged into osu! and ready to play! You will also see your user panel on the bottom of your song selection screen, to the right of your "Selection Options" button.|
