Sup, my friend really likes your map, so he asked me if I could give it a mod.
I'm a very lazy person, he's that special to make me get a move on and actually do it. I wish you the best of luck, and hope you Do make it out there. :lol:

  1. 00:04:234 (1,2,3,4) - instead of hiding the first note behind that slider, maybe just make it look like this. since it's kinda confusing. Though maybe that might just be me.
  2. 00:05:288 (1) - instead of that kick slider, just do a triple.
  3. 00:07:396 (1) - Flip it over, then place it somewhere further.
  4. 00:09:991 (1,2,3,4) - This, no. This is a nono. 2 and 3 should be close to 1, they can't just go over to another place and have their own party with 4. 4 needs to be in another party, change 4's combo color, 4 and 5 should have their own combo color.
  5. 00:11:936 (2,3,4,5) - To make it more smooth, make 2 mirror 1, and then for 3,4,5 instead of doing that close spaced single taps, which can be confusing at some times as well, I suggest you make them a triangle jump. So in the end, 2.3,4,5'll look like this. and 1,2'll look like this.
  6. 00:16:639 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - make slider 1 like this instead,
    from then on 2,3,4,5,6 remap them to match the next 1 slider.
  7. 00:21:828 (1,2) - make it look like this instead, same issue with the 5th mod

  1. At first testplay I noticed that yo have nice map but flow and aesthetical issues were found
  2. As I checked your map I don't recall seeing any sliders with red anchors? You should use them here and there (especially in those big unique sliders) They help a lot I promise you (straight when you learn to use them tho :D) And if you for some reason don't know how to make red anchor just doubleclick while making slider or ctrl + click a white anchor
  3. 00:03:666 (4) - Make this slider more appealling
  4. 00:04:234 (5) - Inconsistent spacing between 4 and 6
  5. 00:04:478 (8,1) - NC 8 and 00:05:774 (8) - NC
  6. 00:07:396 (1) - necessary NC? okay I won't point NCs out anymore if they aren't horrible
  7. 00:10:234 (2,3) - how did you think this placement is a good idea?? Make spacing consistent, this looks and plays bad and breaks flow

Try using more red anchors rather than white ones will make your slider look better. Or you can speed down the slider when you tend to express a certain melody.
About hitsounds
Find some hitsounds which fit the song better, and you'd better consider your hitsounds more. Actrully, I can't really understand why you do that in some partterns.
Finally, flow overall seems good.

  1. 00:00:585 (1,2,3,4) - What is this shape ^^" Either make it a perfect rhombus or a better trapezium
  2. 00:03:180 (1,2,3,4) - this pattern looks so random :idea: Make it a rhombus?
  3. 00:04:234 (5,6,7,1) - I'd really rather have a normal curve here, because the flow feels a bit awkward
  4. 00:04:964 (4,1) - I think this is too close
  5. What about making 00:13:396 (4,5) - and 00:12:747 (1,2) - the same distance and angle. If not, at least move 00:13:558 (5) - a bit to the left, as I really do think that the flow to the next slider will be nicer.
  6. 01:18:423 (1,2) - move the greenline
  7. 00:19:234 (7) - add more curve
  8. 00:23:126 (1) - ^
  9. move 00:28:964 (2,3,4) - to make 00:28:801 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - a rhombus

Hey, since you're a new mapper and because i have like 6 god damned mods to do ;-; I'm going to shoot for more general comments rather than crazy ass specific blankets and stuff.

Things you should know to improve your map:

Blankets
Blankets could be improved drastically, and are probably the biggest issue with the map. That and slider shapes, but you can just look at some Ranked maps of similar Genre for that.

For example, at 00:24:261 (6), you are trying to have a circle placed, and then surround it with a slider. Awesome, that's a good mapping decision. The execution, however, needs work. There are some helpful techniques that I'll try to give you here, and you could start fixing them throughout the map.

How have I done this? Well, I use a technique where I move the slider on top of the circle on the timeline (temporarily, of course). Then, I can see how the Approach Circle Lines up with the slider. Yours looked like this when I started:


See how the blue and red line I drew in MS paint contrast? Now I fiddled with the Midpoint and got my end result. You generally don't want to mess with the start point and end point too much because it will mess with your distance snap, but if you need to, do it (I actually did mess with the endpoint here, that's why you would normally do this along the way when you're first mapping it.

And sure enough, mine line up correctly:

ok maybe its not 100% perfect but I rushed

For reference, my sliderpoints were:
Start: 80,144
Mid: 199,179
End: 245,267

Case where you did this correctly, 01:00:909:

Overlaps
I see throughout the map that flow was a top priority in your mapping. This is very good and adds visual aesthetics to the map. However, in some cases it gets weird, especially near overlaps. For example, at 00:57:991:


While moving through the map in editor, I see a bunch of cases like this where notes look like they should be overlapped, but they aren't. Just simply move it around and adjust the surrounding mapped parts for the DS :D

Distance Snap
The DS, or Distance Snap, in this map is kinda all over the place. For example, there are cases where you start to make a pattern, but then out of the blue the DS changes drastically. Sometimes this is the right thing to do, but in others, it just plays poorly and it hard to read. For example, at 00:38:531:


Why doesn't that slider complete the square pattern? It's just randomly placed way off there when it would look so much nicer inside the box (literally and metaphorically).

Another case is at 01:24:099:


Why isn't 2 equal spaced between these?

Also, trying playing with the Rotate, Flip, and Scale tools in the Edit section. You can find some neat tricks out for yourself there :D

On a positive note, your streams were VERY well made, but it's mostly just your sliders and jumps that need work. Also, some sections, like 00:58:315 to the first kiai, looked awesome and played phenomenally. Just follow the advice I've given you here and you can fix alot of errors in your map. To conclude, I would say that this map is a good start, but messy. Just play around some and you're maps will improve drastically :D

I'll just give some overall info over the whole map as I see mistakes being done all over

Open at own risk
00:07:396 (2,3) - this should be a blanket for instance. i see the other guy who did the mod before me explained it really nicely how they work, so try to find these and fix them!

00:09:991 (1) - things like these are flow-breaking. why? because making an opposite curve all of the sudden is not nice for anyone. instead, try to curve them so that a linear feeling or circular feeling will occur. Also remove the NC (new combo), there is no real reason to put it here

00:10:964 (2) - now here you need a NC because of the weird rythm

00:20:369 (4,1) - just wanted to point out that this is the same situation as before, be aware!

00:24:423 (1,2) - spacing on this is too low. the sliders go wayyyyyy too fast for the sliders to be that close to each other. a fast solution would be to select 2 and then crtl+g, makes it connect to 3 better too

00:26:207 (1) - again a NC that isn't needed as no real change happens, remove it!

00:33:342 (4,5) - again a spacing problem! the notes are too close to each other, there was no reason to make the spacing smaller here than between 00:33:018 (3,4) - . pay attention to it!

00:51:504 (1) - a long slider fits the guitar, I agree, but why leave out the drums for it? mapping drums can be nice too!

01:16:964 (1,1) - same NC problems as before!

01:27:099 (1) - is there a way to make this feel less awkward than it is right now? I know it fits the song but it just doesn't feel nice :(

02:25:234 (3,1) - jumps between these may be a lot more difficult to keep up with the rest of the map

02:41:450 (5,6,7,8,9) - nopenopenopenope not a stream jump like this, not nice. fix this please

03:00:261 (1,2,3,1,2,3) - just follow the drums instead of the guitar so that it plays nicer. going to blue ticks all of the sudden makes the player often confused and overall not nice to play

the streams were very well made, so got no note on that
just the same mistakes are repeated, so look through the map yourself and fix the problems that you can also see here above

After all, the timing is completely OK, the circles are in rhythm and the Timing Beats are in rhythm.
You know what? I was doubting if these circles at 05:00:000 needed Timing Points and THOSE^ points really got my attention.
I really think that those circles need Timing Points. In other beatmaps, most of the mappers use Timing Points for situations like this, and it's very clear that they need Timing Points because they can be more precise than the 1/8, 1/12 and 1/16 Snap Divisors.

Timing Points:
  1. 05:00:909 - (Offset: 300,309) | BPM: 164.000
  2. 05:01:274 - (Offset: 301,274) | BPM: 143.000
  3. 05:01:693 - (Offset: 301,693) | BPM: 129.000

Hey! I'm kind of new to this but I like the song and the map so I thought I would give this a shot, sorry if you don't like any of my suggestions.


01:21:666 (1,2) - The sliders here work fine, I just think maybe some structured jumps could work nicely; maybe some triangles like the map Killer Song
01:26:693 - Feel like there should be a hitcircle somewhere here, sounds odd
02:13:558 (1,2,3,4) - This stream feels out of place, but there seems to be a guitar riff that warrants it. Maybe remove 2 and 3 and see how that sounds to you
02:42:585 (2,3,4) - 4 is farther away from 3 whereas 2 and 3 are closer to each other. I'd say either bring them together or separate them in full
02:53:450 - Kiai should keep going
03:00:099 (1,2,3,4,5) - This entire section feels strange to play and strange to hear.

OVERALL: Color your notes! I suggest a crisp green, white, orange red and brown. :)

I don't know... in some areas, playing through the beatmap I felt a lack of flow and variety. Try switching up your mapping, using patterns and whatnot to make it better in this sense.

Your streams are mapped very nicely though! :) Some of the stream bursts could be adjusted in direction so it helps with flow IMO, mainly early in the song.

Just thought of a way to make it more variety-y! You only have streams in this beatmap. Sliderstreams are a very good option as a way to ease off the pressure for stamina in this beatmap. Also, maybe quickly repeating sliders for the stream effect could substitute some streams so it's not all the same.
