Best accuracy and aiming guide?

Hey for the past 2 weeks i've suddenly got worse at aiming or/and accuracy I say or/and because i don't actually know which problem im having probably both.
But lately i've been alot worse on maps mainly based on circles, i keep missing them, alot more than i did usually, i think this could be because im pressing too early, which i find highly unlikely because im doing it all to the beat, or missing the actual circle, which i find more likley and when i see myself play,i can spot alot of misses, i don't know why i suddenly got this, i tried changing the size of tablet i use, but that made it worse so i put it back but now this is really starting to annoy me and can't get many perfects because of it.
Today i tried doing a song i managed to pass around 3 months ago (playing for 5 months) even though i could do it, at the parts with circles, i still missed, and this song should of been easy for me
So does anyone have a solution to help this or a guide to help on accuracy and aim?
I did look around a bit, but i couldn't find any guide that i could get hold of or in my skill range.
Also, sorry if this is the wrong section, wasn't sure.

I've tried that, but it's no use.
I've had to replay, die from sudden death over 30 times on one go just because of a few circles at the start.

start hanging out together a lot

(alternatively, just play more and practice. it looks like you mostly just play [Hard] and low-bpm [Insane] diffs with little success, just play more and improve your skills as a whole. just play more. that's it)

I don't really need nofail, since im not dying, it's just im only getting 50-100 combos because i keep missing certain targets.

Also, since i don't really know, how will hardrock help?


EDIT: Oh, do you mean those 2 mods together?
If so, still explain how it will help lol ^^

You will need NoFail, once you start playing HardRock for the first time, on anything that's not a beginners' learning difficulty.
Just try it.

Not really sure what to explain. You wanted help with aim and hit accuracy. HR makes circles smaller as well as smaller hit window, forcing you to try harder for those two. This is pretty straightforward isn't it.

hard rock increases the OD making it meaning you need to be more accurate. it also makes the circles smaller meaning you need to have better aim.
also if your not dying, then your playing the wrong maps xD

Gawd, another one.

A already said, playing with HR can help improving your Acc because of higher OD and smaller circles. It can be very frustrating because of the high AR though.

I'm saying this in every similar thread, and I won't stop saying it now: The only way to get better is by practicing on all different kinds of maps. Play maps you can FC, play maps you can pass without FC, play maps you can only barely pass and every now an then play maps far too hard for you to pass with NoFail.

I always play a variety of songs, it's just the ones i try and should be able to perf which i don't like.
Also, i tried NF HR and played songs i had trouble on, it worked in HR, like i was hitting targets i didn't hit without it, but then i switched without HR and i just kept missing them again,wat

accuracy is gained the hard way by grinding for it over and over. if you want to become very accurate you wont be playing hard songs any time soon, youll have to stick with what you can already and keep playing that untill youre confident you can get high acc without too much trouble, thats when you move on to harder songs. (this is only for getting more accurate, there are other ways to become better at the game overall)

^ This is true. I'm happy that someone has been listening to me rant about accuracy.

For aim, I might not be the best person to give advice, but one of the basic things to do is to make your tablet's active area bigger. A lot of the top players use full area (myself included, and my aim is pretty good http://osu.ppy.sh/b/68136) Other thing to do is to just keep on playing. You will subconsciously get better as you play harder maps, you just need to find the most comfortable hard maps to play. By that I mean, find maps that are hard but still FUN to play. If it's not FUN, then you will not learn as well as you could.

ALTERNATIVELY you could also just play easier maps, those will also increase your aim, but not as well. Aim is basically all about muscle memory anyway, so if you have no foundation for that, then you will obviously miss a lot.

HardRock mostly consists of hitting the circles as soon as they appear on the screen rather than following the rhythm of the song, it's not really a good way to improve your accuracy. It can only improve your accuracy when you are able to read higher AR and time when you have to hit the circles. If you're not used to higher AR you'll probably end up with hitting the circles as soon as they appear on the screen and thus giving you 100/50 and in the end, it's not going to improve your accuracy at all.

The guy who plays without hitsounds teaching about accuracy LOL

Learn to judge and adjust your timing by listening to your previous hit-sounds.
You can play some taiko and learn to do this quickly.

I was frustrated earlier over not being able to get over 90% on LC's new map so I actually tried turning on hitsounds to see if it would help
my accuracy dropped to 80%
screw hitsounds D:

I think lewa gave the best advice here so far. Playing stuff that's fun for you is the most important thing

Taiko is good for accuracy, hitsounds help, HR helps only if your aim/reaction skills are good enough, otherwise keep playing shit until you can get 99% easily on all those random maps that get ranked every day (or almost all of them since some may be quite hard even to 95%+).

it all falls on pref for hitsounds being on or off some play more with there eyes than ears it is when you can use both together you really get cooking

you can always try making new diffs on maps you like, and set the OD to 9 or more. That's what I'm going to start doing today :D

Hardrock helped me out a bit last 2 months too, but I had the reflexes for it, so Idk how much it will help you. anyways, just keep at it. It dosen't take that long, just press f2 for random maps, and use hardrock, and have fun. in 2 weeks time, your accuracy will be much better.

Why is everyone suggesting that this guy play with high AR and OD, hotsounds off, HR and NoFail? None of this is going to benefit a player of his level. -_- He's not a pro, guys. He's just working up to the level where he can regularly make jumps. Silmarilen and Lewa seem to be the two with the best advice from what I've seen. The only way to improve your aim is to keep playing maps that you are ok at, and then try to make every jump. Once you can FC the map, move on to more maps that you are ok with. If you start getting good accuracy, then those maps are getting too easy for you, and you might as well move up to harder maps. Eventually aim will stop being your problem, and you'll find that you have another thing to work on. Through that process you will become well rounded.

The only mod that I suggest experimenting with at your level, OP, is Hidden. If you find that you can over 98% and a Full Combo on a map, then try it with Hidden. That will help you get used to aiming predictively, for lack of a better term. You can try Hidden on any map, but the minimum I think you should be able to do is FC it before you go for the Hidden mod. We're trying to train good habits into your muscles, not survival habits, which are what you get from playing above your skill level. That's my term for muscle habits that just keep you alive, but don't help your combo or accuracy.

This is actually what I was doing, except that I was mapping new stuff myself. I find it the most effective of all the methods I tried.
Also, be sure that your universal offset is configured correctly.

There are slow maps which are really easy, I think even beginners can do well on those, such as the newly ranked http://osu.ppy.sh/b/97903. The OD here is quite high and the map itself is quite easy.

high OD is for if you are already accurate and want to become more accurate, not if you want to learn to be accurate in the first place. it wont help you getting 100s all over the place because you havent properly learned to follow the rythm.

Acc. is a hard skill to get good at. There are some aspects that you have to master first like good rhythm. Just have fun! Improvent comes naturally.

Hi there i have same problem i am lvl 38 (11.26. 2014) and i can complete songs higher than my lvl is i am good at speed hitting but if i want silver SS i want to have 100% on hard song i need to train and thats it just keep playing with HR without NF and try to be better and better :) excercise is the key :) GL man!

There are maps not mainly based on circles? I think you're looking for this:

In all seriousness, try HD. For me it makes it necessary to actually press according to the music instead of keyboard mashing whatever's on the screen, and going by audio is far more accurate than attempting to read off the screen. That's for me at least.
