This game has an OPEN SETUP. Upon the start of the game, the setup will be displayed to all players. Roles will be randomized and then sent out to every player participating. When a player is killed REGARDLESS of being lynched or shot, only the player name will be displayed. The role AND faction will be hidden. This game is night start. Refer to t/62209 for basic rules and guidelines.

In other words, this is a game where every kill is a janitor kill.

This is a legitamate game mode found on IRC mafia. I have tested this several times actually and is quite fun. I thought it would be interesting to try it out here. Please note that the setup is balanced to the best of my ability. Freak accidents can not be avoided however...

I'm not really sure what NH's self vote might mean, it seems he just did it randomly and for no reason. :P

Well crappy thing is that no matter who we vote we won't learn anything. Especially if our coroner/census taker dies.

It might be a good idea to coordinate these powers as best we can so they don't overlap. For example, we come up with an agreement that the census taker uses his power tonight and then the coroner uses his power the next night on whomever we lynched. Or vice-versa.

This way, at least if neither of them die, we end up knowing whether the two lynches were mafia or not. There's not much sense in delaying their use, since two mislynches will end up in LyLo on D3 unless the doctor is successful.

Yeah, that's a good idea, but I would say the coroner should go first, so we get the most updated list of roles later on when the census taker uses his ability.

Usually JInxyjem doesn't post very much and doesn't contribute much when he's mafia, but after looking at it again he's posted quite a bit. A bunch of people (Makar, bmin, Mashley, Lincolm and probably some others I'm missing) have only posted once so far and it was during RVS, so I'm kind of suspicious of them right now. It's been 2 days or so, so I think they should have posted something else by now.

Given the roles, mafia can't die during the night, so I don't even think it matters whether the coroner or census taker goes first. And we also have a cop, so we'll have two chances to get a mafia (50% chance) even if we mislynch both times. From there I think we'll have pretty good odds.

Well, my thought is that we could have a no lynch and give our town roles to use their ability once more, since lynching will give very little information.

Oh that's what a census taker does. I'm thinking coroner first then, better to use that power before it's randomly taken out.

Seems this ability not work too much. Better in less people.

I disagree. The biggest problem currently would be the godfather, who can't be found through any of our auxes. The only way to get him would be through lynching.

That being said, we're 13 hours away and the highest votes is pieguy from 2 rvs votes. That's not going to help if we lynch him just through randoms. inb4 anime mafia scenario
