[Archived] Tablet feels like it has mouse accel on but doesnt?

Problem Details:
So, I was ready to update drives on my GPU, and i did a clean install for the first time so i could get rid of some of the old drivers I had and make some room on my SSD, but since then when I go into osu it feels like I have mouse accel on and I'm not sure how to fix it, tablet is a wacom ctl 480

It'd be kinda hard to get a video of it

Do you have your drivers set to mouse mode instead of pen mode by accident?

Where would that option be? unless you mean in the mapping settings of the tablet properties, then yeah its set in pen mode

So, i changed my pen nib after this cause i suspected it was picking up multiple points of the nib, and the problem seems to be better but still occurs, more specifically seems to happen when i move the cursor slowly then fast, which is why i assumed mouse accel. but this problem still started happening after i clean installed the new drivers so idk if its just a coincidence or what

Are you using the official wacom drivers or the custom osu specific ones?

And which version?

Yeah, i was using old official drivers then updated drivers to see if that would work but it didnt so now im using a custom one which helped a bit with input lag, but besides that problem is still persisting, although its not nearly as bad as before since i changed the pen nib, ive also noticed the cursor is shaking when im not moving the pen, not sure if thats related to the issue but figured id mention it and the version of the custom drivers im not sure its this one https://github.com/hawku/TabletDriver

Tablets don't have mouse acceleration.

Maybe you are just lagging in general?

Doesnt feel like lag, feels like my pen sensitivity is changing the same way mouse accel does. or that my tablet area is changing, idk like i said its better now after the pen nib change, but the cursor shaking didnt happen before either so im not sure what thats about

Disable raw input in game and set your sensitivity to 1. If the cursor shaking just started right now, maybe it has to do with your tablet drivers, or something physically related to your pen.

already had raw input off and sens set to 1, raw input has never worked with my tablet for some reason, and i think the cursor shaking started after the driver update on my gpu

Have you restarted your computer since then? Not sure why a GPU driver update would affect your tablet. You can always try rolling back if you think that is the issue.

Yeah its been restarted prob about 15 times since xD, tried to change tablet drivers many times since then to try and fix the issue so ive restarted for that a bunch, and it was a clean install on the gpu driver, i noticed it messed with some of my other stuff so i assumed some kind of settings were changed but i checked fixmypen and nothing came up bad so im not sure what else to look for

Are you still on Windows 7 or something? Pretty sure fixmypen doesn't work on Windows 10 if you are on that.

Make sure you are running the game fullscreen, windowed/borderless can cause input lag, which might be what you are feeling. The way you are describing this issue makes it either seem like that is the issue or something is wrong with your pen.

No, im on windows 10, but ive checked most of the windows settings manually and they seem to be fine, and yeah im running fullscreen, input lag varies from like .65-1.1 before on old tablet drivers and on old gpu drivers it was .78ish, doesnt really make sense that it would be the pen since it just started after the clean install i mean i guess it could be coincidence, but seems unlikely

I can help you, you just have to have the hawku driver and go to where it says "buttons" and "mouse scroll" and in "sensitivity" you put 10 and you also put 10 below where it says "acceleration" and you check the box called "Stop cursor" and that should solve your problem, it helped me, and if you want to have it like me, I also have the buttons deactivated xd talk to me if you have doubts about anything
