[Archived] Replays and settings gone

Upon launching OSU!, I got asked to login, which does not normally happen. After that, my settings were gone, as well as the vast majority of my replays in local ranking. Some are still there, but I can't find a pattern. Some old, some recent, some from ranked maps, some from unranked, some from a map difficulty but not the other difficulties. I think I saw "replay is corrupted" or something as an error message on bottom right corner at some point.

This is the second time this happens. Last time was maybe a couple months ago and happened the exact same way.

I don't have "scores.db with a bunch of numbers on the end".
I do have the replays in Data/r/.
I can load them manually however I have like 6000 files in there so I can't realistically open them one by one.

So:
Is there a way to get OSU! to load all replays?
How do I make this bug not happen again?
How do I backup my settings and replays for when it happens again anyways?

You can try just removing the regular "scores.db" file you have while the game is closed. It's supposed to be recreated based on what you have in Data/r, but sometimes it just doesn't work for whatever reason. If it doesn't work then you'll most likely need to load your replays back in manually.

If you want to be extra safe, you can save all of the db files in your osu! folder (except presence.db, I don't think you really need that one) and create a backup of your Data/r folder every once in a while. Not sure why stuff is not appearing in-game though, so I'm not really sure how necessary that is, or if they issue will persist if this happens again even after dragging those files back into the game.

osu!.pcname.cfg (pcname is the name of the user account you are logged into on your computer) is where your settings are saved, so you can also save it as well.

When I remove scores.db and launch OSU!, when I click Play->Solo I get error messages (can't load replay, possibly corrupted), OSU! gets hidden (some task must take the foreground?), and replays aren't restored.

Can you post the "runtime.log" file that should be located in your osu!\Logs folder after you run the game and get that error message popup?

When I said error message I meant this:

Which translates to: "Can't read the replay. The file might be corrupted"

I guess it's possible that some replay file in that Data folder is corrupted? Whether or not that specific issue is causing other issues or preventing any of your other replays from loading is something I don't know.
