I know !request exists and use it
Sometimes i do and sometimes i don't. it depends on the song and who's mapping it for me.
I use it to find people for mod4mods ~ I also check some maps out if i like the music and to see if it is a beginner who tries to get mods and want to well change/learn/get their map ranked etc. something

If I like the song then yes I would but I mostly mod from queue/requests.
I usually mod maps from #requests if a MAT or a BAT requests a mod 4 mod. Otherwise, I usually mod maps from my queue, forum PM, and in-game. Although, I haven't been active on my queue lately. =_=

On topic: Around 25% of my mods are from #modreq. I don't know the exact value since I am downloading tons of maps and when my download folder contains 30+ maps I start to randomly import them. At this moment I have often forgotten where the map was from.

I guess I'm one of the few modders that doesn't really care what song it is when I go to mod. I use modreqs primarily, because my mods take forever and so holding a queue would mean I would always have a list of mods I am obligated to take. So if I mod randomly from #modreqs not only am I supporting the system, I get the chance to help out a lot of new mappers which tend to post on #modreqs.
I think the fairest way to mod is to mod anything and everything to the best of your ability. modreqs allows me to go to the mappers rather than have the mappers come to me.

Yes I do. Closed mod queue some weeks ago, and have recently (today) gotten back into modding, so checking that because I don't want my queue unlocked/remade.

One of the most important reason I don't do mods on #modreq is that I might have some communication problems there. Almost everyone in the beatmap's thread wants to use their own native language to mod to avoid some problems on words using or grammar etc. Also I can easily understand other's mod, and know about which part of the song is not checked. That can save a lot of time.
As a matter of fact, I just view those Chinese people's profile and find songs to mod. If there is something like "#modreq-cn, #modreq-fr" etc. I will do mods there.
I don't want any beatmap's thread becomes to be a "Tower of Babel", and I even don't want those mappers say about "Sorry I use Google Translate to help me to understand your mod..."
