Most Amazing Lan Ever (MALE)




Hello again! For the third year in a row, Highlander Gaming at University of California Riverside is hosting a LAN event in the month of January, in which osu! will be included in the venue again! As the tournament organizer, I hope to see many people from Southern California to be there and come chill with us This year, both osu!standard and osu!mania will have tournaments.

DATE: January 27, 2019 which is a Sunday
WHERE: The Highlander Union Building (HUB) at University of California, Riverside


Standard

Group Stage: Players will play through all the maps in the mappool and are given a certain amount of points depending on how well they placed. The points will be counted up and players will then be placed in a Double-Elimination bracket to see who is the Rhythm Champion of Southern California. After we will proceed with...

Quarterfinals: Best of 7
Semifinals: Best of 9
Finals: Best of 11
Grandfinals: Best of 13



Mania
Mania will feature a seeded Double-Elimination bracket to see who is the best piano player in Southern California.

Rounds and Quarterfinals: Best of 5
Semifinals: Best of 7
Finals: Best of 9
Grandfinals: Best of 11



Match Rules
Standard

• Scores will be in Score v2
• Invites will be sent out 5-10 minutes before scheduled time
• No Mod will utilize no modifications, Hard Rock will have Hard Rock on, Hidden has Hidden, and Double Time with Double Time. These are required.
• Players may pick Hidden or Flashlight for a Double Time map.
• In a Free Mod pick, both players must use Hard Rock, Hidden, Flashlight, Easy, or a combination of any.
• In case where both players one game off from a win, a predetermined Tiebreaker map will be played.
• Players are allowed to use mods on Tiebreaker but is not required.
• Players cannot pick the same mod twice in a row.

Mania

• Scores will be in Score v2
• Invites will be sent out 5-10 minutes before scheduled time
• All charts will include Free Mod
• In case where both players one game off from a win, a predetermined Tiebreaker map will be played.

Match Reporting
• Both players will report scores to main desk
• Both players must unanimously agree on the winner
• In case of disagreement a referee will check match history and determine a winner

Misconduct and Cheating
• Unsportsmanlike behavior and harassment will not be tolerated and a first offense will result in a warning. Any more offense results in DQ.
• Players will have their computers inspected prior to the beginning of matches to ensure that there are no illegal programs running at the time. A positive in illegal program test will result in computer obliteration.

Group Stage
Standard

• All players will play every map in group stage
• Scores will be added up to determine seeding
• No warm-ups or bans
• 2 No Mod maps, 2 Hard Rock maps, 2 Hidden maps, and 2 Double Time maps

Mania

• No group stage

Rounds and Beyond
Standard

• !roll will determine picks and ban order
• The higher roll will pick the the first map in map pool. The lower roll will choose to ban first.
• One optional warm-up map, picked by the lower roll.
• Bans will be in alternating order
• 1 ban per player from Rounds to Finals, 2 in Grandfinals.
• Warm-up map cannot be from any pool
• Rounds will be Best of 5, the first to win 3 maps wins the match.
• Rounds will consist of 2 No Mod, 2 Hard Rock, 2 Hidden, and 2 Double Time maps.
• Quarterfinals will be Best of 7, the first to win 4 maps wins the match.
• Quarterfinals will consist of 3 No Mod, 2 Hard Rock, 2 Hidden, 2 Double Time, and 2 Free Mod maps.
• Semifinals will be Best of 9, the first to win 5 maps wins the match.
• Semifinals will consist of 4 No Mod, 2 Hard Rock, 2 Hidden, 2 Double Time, and 2 Free Mod maps.
• Finals will be Best of 11, the first to win 6 maps wins the match.
• Finals will consist of 4 No Mod, 3 Hard Rock, 3 Hidden, 3 Double Time, and 2 Free Mod maps.
• Grandfinals will be Best of 13, the first to win 7 maps wins the match.
• Grandfinals will use the Finals pool
• The winner of the winner bracket will have a 1 chart advantage
• Each map pool will consist of a Tiebreak map.

Mania
