I am trying to hammer in a nail but it's not going in.

System specs:

Nail made of iron
Hammer with the curvy thing at on end and black handle
Some random piece of wood I found

What I already tried:

Pushing nail in
Banging nail with hammer
Turning the wooden thing upside down with the nail sticking out and banging it against the floor
Reading hammer and nail theory
Getting a life
Pray to god

If anyone can help, that would be great. Many thanks!

I think the issue is that you are trying to put the nail into the wood. Try using the wood as a platform and instead, drive the nail through your hand using the hammer. Should work. Then you dont have to grip the wood to carry it around. If the hammer doesn't work, use forehead instead
