[Archived] Osu!'s programming language?

Hey, I have no idea where do ask this question, so I thought I'll just ask it here in the help section of the forum.

I've been wondering for quite some years now which programming language Osu! actually uses.
Does anyone know?

Also while we're at it, it doesn't seem like Osu! is using a royality free engine of some sort, or maybe I'm just blind lol.
If that's the case, does Osu! run on a custom engine?

osu! is written in C# on the .NET Framework. That's all I really know as I'm not a developer, but you can try hopping into the osu! dev server if you have any questions about the inner workings of osu!

apparently it was written in the xna framework
