[Archived] Disable menu music

Problem Details:
I cannot find an option to disable the menu music from autoplaying, I would like the option to have osu silent when alt-tabbed at least so I can browse beatmaps more easily

If you are in the main menu, you can click f4 and it will pause the music

You can only pause the songs while in the main menu using this controller:

And please don't ask the forums if your question isn't serious. You can ask stuff like that in #help channel in which you can get ansers a lot faster and forums are for solving serious or annoying problems that affects your gameplay. But if you wanted to request that as a new feature, you can post that here.

You will have to either press F4 or manually pause the song through the jukebox, as mentioned above. There is no way to disable music from autoplaying.

What do you define as "serious". It sounds just fine to me. This subforums is "The place to go when you have a problem to report or a question to ask.".

That's true, he could have also asked this in the #help channel do get help directly, but that's a matter of preference. :)

You do know that this subforum is called "Help", and not "Confirmable/Serious Technical issues", right?
Asking questions here is perfectly fine. The only downside is, is that it will take longer to get an answer, or answers being slightly flaming towards the OP

As for the issue, there is no way to stop it when starting up. There however, is a request for "Start-up song". Putting a silent mp3 file there will do the same for you

I'd also like to point out that you can't stop the music from playing while you're in the song selection screen, you'll have to go back to the main menu first then pause/stop the music.
It might have been indirectly explained still.

The user should've tried to find information about his problem in the wiki, or do what you've said by going to the #help
