I recently got into CS:GO and decided to start using my mouse to play osu! instead of a tablet to help with flick-firing(because cs:go with a tablet is janky. DON'T TRY IT!). I usually use mouse acceleration on my desktop, but playing osu with it was hard so I fiddled around with the settings later to find none of my mouse speed changes were working. If you want a consistent experience across games, there are three options you can use.
Option 1: OS Implementation. For games that use "raw input" this allows the game to use the data from the windows mouse settings in the control panel(or whatever the mac equivalent is).
Option 2: Setpoint Implementation. Similar to above, but takes the raw data from Setpoint instead of the OS. This does transfer acceleration settings so beware.
Option 3: Game Detection. This setting is the worst in my opinion because the game detection is rather spotty at times(Most games work fine, but steam is a game for some reason.). If you are interested in using acceleration everywhere accept games though, this allows you to do that.
I was almost tempted to buy a new mouse before discovering the ins and outs of Setpoint. If you use a Setpoint enabled mouse, definitely check out the program. (It can also map any key to any pretty much any button accept the primary clicks if you enjoy that kind of customization.)
