so i recently figured out how useful changing the mouse sensitivity for osu!standard is - like seriously, it helped me jump at least 7000 ranks in about a week after i was able to get jumps that much quicker  but i was just wondering (esp for players that are in the #10000> ranking range), what do you guys have your sensitivity set to?

Right now I have mine about 1.75, but my streams and sliders seem to still be a bit shaky. i was watching some pro players and it seems the area that they're moving their tablet pen in is extremely small, so maybe the secret to cookiezi-level jumps is just to set your sensitivity insanely high?? i dont know. all i know is that having sensitivity higher is really helping me, but i dont know how high is too high.

1x. I don't tinker with the sensitivity, rather I just adjust the DPI of my mouse. Mine is currently set to 800.

hm, cool.

only problem is that since i use my graphics tablet for drawing as well, setting the dpi would be kinda tedious?? idk but is the sensitivity bad to tinker with or do you just prefer not to? like is there a big difference between sensitivity in osu and changing the mouse's dpi?

Most top players don't have a high ingame sensitivity. It also comes down to preference; use whatever is most comfortable to you.

Find your full desired/comfortable range of motion and set your sensitivity accordingly. I got to 25k with a mouse.

Some tablets save sensitivities for different programs. I'm using a Wacom Intuos small and it has profiles for programs, e.g. I can set a full area profile for Paint, and a portion area profile for osu.

Edit: Ingame sensitivity and DPI sensitivities aren't that different, most people change DPI sensitivity because it has to do with hardware.

Think about it like this: Ingame sensitivity takes what your mouse sends to the computer and multiplies it. DPI directly changes what the mouse sends to the computer.

This is often overlooked but make sure you got a good mouse pad too. The lower the sens, the more space you need with a bigger mouse pad.

Also think about your resolution, mouse accel, chair height, etc.

don't compare absolute aim (tablet) with relative aim (mouse), you'll just be disappointed
