Yeah yeah play more. I get that. It works for me.

But for those of you single tappers out there that can do 240+BPM, how is your..hand posture?
I just don't want to start tapping in a way that could possibly be bad for me in the future.

Actual pictures would be nice but descriptions work too.

Additional info that might be useful: Cherry MX red kb, i tap with left hand

If you can't tap that fast with just your finger, use your arm. Also, RSI-chan? Really?

I'm just gonna pm him about this, be right back

@thread
take breaks, stretch yourself, stop if you feel pain or discomfort. You know, just use common sense and you'll be alright

Start using your arm as soon as you hit your speed limit using only your fingers (i.e. like when you stream).
Nelly
Download Stream Compitition, try to spam at first and then use a single tap on the keyboard, this is like a challenge, but harder.

Look at the jesus1412 what he wrote, maybe it would be helpful

jesus1412 quotes:
Singles are the counterpart of streams which can either be jumps or spaced normally. It is advised to only use your fingers for slow singles (singles that are about half as fast as your comfortable streaming speed) and to tense up your hand and use your whole arm for faster singles. That way one can easily exceed ones BPM limits in terms of streams.

The most efficient method of playing singles with your arm that I found is to
Tense up your finger
Lift your wrist from the table a bit
Move your elbow up and your hand down at the same time
Move your elbow down and your hand up at the same time
Repeat last 2 steps. This essentially is rotating your forearm around the point between your elbow and hand back and forth.

It can be very tiring and hurtful for your arm in the beginning if you are not used to it. But don't worry, it will stop after a few days

Can't blame him.

If you stretch, warm up properly, rest in between sessions and don't overdo it there's no reason for RSI-sama to be interested in you. RSI-chan is zenny, don't get them mixed up.

I single tap so fast that I attracted RSI-chan, she's mine now

play more
single tap more
single finger mashing

well... maybe the best way is to practice on beatmap which is just about your limit.
just maybe, or maybe just above your limit is ok (but not too much or RSI-chan will love you)

But my limit is at about 190bpm single taps.
I should start alternating.
Good video though.

I never lift my wrist o.O
Top Bunk
I can only single tap at 150bpm... Which isn't much different from my alternating at 165bpm.
But I always play while laying down and using my tapping arm for support to hold me up, so that would be why. So arm lifting for faster speeds is out of the question for me. :v
