Summoned from the team queue - although I'm not sure how much help I'll be considering my inability to adequately testplay most of this xD I love the song, so I'll give it my all and hopefully some of these points will be helpful to you :3

General Comments:
  1. Consider adding some more tags to help search the mapset. You can pick any you think are worth including from Touhou, Ten Desires, TH13, Rigid Paradise, Yoshika Miyako, Metal, Instrumental... (:
  2. Im not sure on this one, but should Touhou be used as a Source if it's not an original work (as is the case here)? I see in some other Demetori songs (for example) it is cited e.g. here, whereas in others it's not, e.g. here - can someone confirm what the rule is here?
  3. Combo colours (2) and (4) were quite hard to distinguish for me - maybe increase the contrast between them a bit (but so much that either is too similar to (1).
  4. Letterbox during breaks can be disabled, since this map doesn't have a storyboard (unless you are planning to make one?) If you do uncheck this, you can delete the .osb file in the song folder as well.
  5. You have two images in the song folder (you should only have one), both of which are 1273x712 - this is unrankable. BG images should be 1024x768 for standard 4:3, or preferably, 1366x768 for widescreen 16:9 resolutions, so you'll need to resize of find a new bg image. I would stick with the current JPG (the PNG is far too bright IMO).
  6. You have a custom normal-hitclap hitsound in the song folder, but I can't see anywhere you use it in the song (might have just missed it though, sorry if I did). Also, you use custom soft and drum samplesets, but don't actually have any custom hitsounds. I take it this is something you're still working on?
  7. 80% volume throughout the song isn't great in my opinion, you lose a lot of the emphasis in he kiai (where volume should be higher) and are slightly overbearing in the few calmer sections such as 02:09:635 to 02:10:269 and 03:52:737 to 03:58:430. I'd use 90% for the former and something like 50-65% for the latter? Try some different options and see what works for you.

02:36:834 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - I think making these into a pattern would look really good since they're all on their own (so no distractions from past/future notes) and since they're in between two short breaks they could use some emphasis. Perhaps a heptagon or 7-sided star?

00:30:781 (4,5,6) - I think a triplet here is too much. Try making it a reverse slider to match 3.
00:31:323 (1) - The slider looks uneven because the first two ticks are on the same y axis, but the second two are slanted. I think that it should be like this or this or copy/paste and rotate 00:31:684 (2) - this if you want to.

  5. You have two images in the song folder (you should only have one), both of which are 1273x712 - this is unrankable. BG images should be 1024x768 for standard 4:3, or preferably, 1366x768 for widescreen 16:9 resolutions, so you'll need to resize of find a new bg image. I would stick with the current JPG (the PNG is far too bright IMO). Fixed
  6. You have a custom normal-hitclap hitsound in the song folder, but I can't see anywhere you use it in the song (might have just missed it though, sorry if I did). Also, you use custom soft and drum samplesets, but don't actually have any custom hitsounds. I take it this is something you're still working on? Oh owo apparantly I forgot to put the sampleset >.< Thank you! <3
  7. 80% volume throughout the song isn't great in my opinion, you lose a lot of the emphasis in he kiai (where volume should be higher) and are slightly overbearing in the few calmer sections such as 02:09:635 to 02:10:269 and 03:52:737 to 03:58:430. I'd use 90% for the former and something like 50-65% for the latter? Try some different options and see what works for you. fixed
Difficulty-Specific Comments:

02:34:665 - If you drag your breaks out to the next white tick (or sometimes red tick depending on the BPM and song), it flows nicer during play in my opinion, so you could do this for each of your breaks if you feel it does anything for you. Doesn't do anything for me so :(

05:24:545 onwards - What's the purpose of all the red timing points at the end of the song here? You don't have a variable BPM or time signature here, and you even have the same volume and hitsound sampleset... Are they to correct offset changes? o_O The purposes is that the metronome change, so yeah :D

Here's a bunch of general stuff to think about, some more comments about the map itself will be coming very soon - right after I tend to my real life work (which is far less interesting than modding this ;))

After getting a first impression of the map, I have two points to make:
1. Your streams are not always very pretty. Those will probably take some work and reconsideration before this gets approved.
2. A partial cause of the first problem, turn off Grid Snap especially for those streams. Grid Snap makes it very hard to make nice-looking streams, and overall just inhibits you.

That said, there's very little wrong about the map in terms of playability, and it's still fun.


With the timing, I came to an offset of 882 for the first timing point, and subsequently everything else follows with a change of -8ms.


00:01:401 (1,1) - I think it'd be nice to not begin with two spinners, especially seeing as these are mappable, normally.
00:15:058 (2) - The overlap with 00:14:335 (6) - is a bit ugly.
00:19:576 (8,1) - Maybe make this a triple too, for consistency?
00:29:154 (9,10,11) - The sharp angle here in this otherwise curvy stream doesn't look good.
00:34:214 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - I don't think you're mapping very well to the music here. The music gets more intense (without so many 1/4ths), and the map doesn't accommodate that.
00:45:772 (1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4,5) - These streams look wonky.
01:11:434 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12) - Would look better if it was more evenly round (like the letter C)

Fun map! As I said in the mod, you're going to have to do some work on the streams (more than mentioned specifically) before this'll get approved, but those are far from unfixable, and once you've fixed that up, the map will look a lot nicer. Good luck getting it approved!

From start to 00:35:283 (1), the beats aren't snapped. Did you perhaps change or shift their offsets? I think a BPM change could remedy this since it sounds on time, or re-offsetting possibly.

02:01:856 (6,7,8) - I feel these 3 could be curved rather than angled to keep that stream as flowy as it started. I moved (6) right/down slightly, (7) +4x/+4y, and (8) to x268/ y60. Something along those lines give it a similar to idea curve, so that 02:02:127 (1) feels almost like a slight snap for the emphasis of it's beat.
02:03:844 (4,5) - I'd scoot this down 4-8 units on the y-axis for cosmetic purposes.

03:13:693 (1) - Un-combo with ^?
03:35:561 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3) - A 1,2,3,4 sequence would improve this guitar emphasis well imo, as well as reshaping the combo slightly to reflect what you're going for shape-wise. 1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,1,2,3 works too if you want to keep the end and do the threes (which look good).
03:54:717 (2) - Move down +4 on the y-axis for a nigh-perfect blanket.
04:45:139 (2,3,4,1,2,3) - Sick, I like it. In my opinion, reflecting the same pattern into 04:46:404 (2,3,4,1,2,3,1,2,3) would benefit the map's rhythmical symmetry. At approximately 04:46:404 (2), what I suggest regarding the rhythm is what comes to mind:

Hello Keada.
This map is really recent (if i trust the date of the submission), and people didn't really think that this map is ready yet for approval.
The main reason is Quality, the quality needs to be improved to give a better impact and impression. I keep in mind that you're a beginner at mapping (you don't have any ranked maps), so i won't force you to make perfect things.

Patterns lacks of solid structure, some 1/4 sliders are just "thrown away" and there are confusing patterns. Stream's shapes are not really well done, there are weird shapes which can be improved for a smoother motion. Yes, the notion of "flow" still exists for streams.
Your use of custom hitsounds is really weird, you mainly use default hitsounds and suddenly here 03:58:512 - you use some custom hitsounds, for something which could be followed with default hitsounds as well and the other way round. try to make them consistent throughout the map.

  1. 00:06:592 (2,1) - Here you should increase the distance between these objects, it will be less confusing because of the distance between 00:06:336 (1,2) -
  2. 00:19:026 (5,6,7) - Due to the stack leniency, they overlap the previous slider, and i don't think it was your intention. There should be more distance between these stacked objects and the previous slider.
  3. 00:21:194 (1,2,3,4,5) - Same as here, it looks unpolished and a little messed up, + the flow is a little bad here because the direction of this slider 00:21:194 (1) - is upward, and the next objects are at the opposite side, and the player might get a 100 here.
  4. 00:37:821 (3,4) - This can be quickly confusing here, the player expects a 1/4 gap between 00:37:821 (3,4) - because of the slider velocity and the previous patterns. You should unstack these objects.
  5. 00:50:471 (1,2,3) - This looks really weird to play, because you don't let the player play the whole slider 00:50:471 (1) - and as i said above, he might get a 100 here, try something else like a curved slider instead of this 00:50:471 (1) - . You perfectly did it here 00:56:254 (7) -
  6. 01:19:748 (1,2) - This looks really unpolished, as i said above. The distance between these sliders is really low and that can be uncomfortable to play, and that can be confusing because of the previous patterns, so, you should increase the distance between these sliders, for a better and smoother motion when playing.
  7. 01:35:651 - to 01:46:586 - The difficulty difference is clearly noticeable, there are higher jumps and the same density, i mention this because this part is harder than the previous kiai time. That makes this map unbalanced. So, you should nerf the jumps on this part.
  8. 02:05:742 (5,6,7,8,9) - Improve its shape, you see that it is not perfectly curved, and you should improve its shape because there could be a better and smoother motion.
  9. 03:02:669 (3,4) - The different number of reverses is not expectable and easily confusing, because this is a fast part and the player expects kick sliders with 2 reverses like 03:03:211 (4) - . Try to avoid reversed slider like this 03:02:669 (3) -
  10. 03:17:308 (9) - The first 1/4 slider should start here because the first strong beat starts here, not here 03:17:488 - . And it will give a better impression if the first 1/4 slider is here.
  11. 04:10:079 (1,2,3,4) - The distance between these sliders is too large compared to what we can see on previous patterns with kick sliders like this. This creates a little spike and players can easily get a sliderbreak here because it is a little surprising too. So, there should be less distance between these sliders. Same for 04:16:223 (1,2,3,4,5) -
  12. 04:20:922 (6,7,8) - this looks a little uncomfortable to play, because there is an angle near to 180° between them, and the distance is not the same. The player should have enough aim to be able to handle them, he can be also helped by the approach rate, but that's not really a reason to say "i won't change because AR is enough fast". I suggest you to make something instead, which looks like a star pattern (but not really a star), like :
  13. 05:45:861 (4,5,1) - They are misleading, i think that you're supposed to emphasize the strong notes you can hear (and you can follow with a finish hitsound), but they are not well done and they don't show the real impact of the song. There should be more distance between 05:46:042 (5,1) - because they are the most powerful notes you can hear, and that's really weird to see them overlapped when there is a larger spacing for previous objects which follows less powerful notes.

This is not good enough to get approved, things need to be more polished and you need to get more mods from experienced modders or from testplayers.
I really recommend you to work on stream's shapes to make them look nicer and better to play.
