[Archived] Mouse freezing.

Problem Details:
My mouse sometimes will freeze or "jump away" for a mere second, making me miss beats. This happens in any songs.
I've tried several things like
-> All kinds of FPS options
-> Disabling all other background programs
-> Disabling all special effects
-> Adjusting mouse sensitivity (on osu menu) and mouse speed (on control panel)
-> Reinstalling the game, restarting the PC
-> Changing between windowed mode and fullscreen mode

And absolutely nothing seems to solve my problem. I cant afford to buy a new mouse, but I don't think my mouse is the problem? Because in the "waiting screens" i've tried to move it around a lot and spin and etc and it didn't freeze even once. It doesn't happen in other games either, just when I'm playing osu.
Is there anything else I can do or will I just have to quit the game for good? :(

Do you have raw input on or off? Does this still happen with raw input off and an osu! mouse sensitivity of 1?

Also just to make sure, are you running on the cuttingedge release stream or stable?

i've tried both options of raw input, and it gets a little better with it being on, but the problem still persists
how can i check to see whether im using stream or stable?
edit: found the option, it's "stable"

The thing is with raw input off and a sensitivity setting of 1 osu! literally just takes your cursor position from windows and uses it. If you still experience freezes at this point, then either your mouse or windows itself is at fault. Are you sure it's only your mouse freezing and not the entire game for a short moment?

seeing as how my mouse is working perfectly fine outside of the game, it could very well be the game itself freezing
ill see what i can do to take some load off of my computer. thanks for the help by the way

In case you manage to reliably replicate the freezes within osu! please let us know how. This way we may be able to improve the situation with some optimizations. It's also possibly this is caused by a bug, so any hints on what it could be would be helpful. :)

This Problem has happened to me ive tried to inspect it but all I can say is your playing its fine then the cursor freezes its not the mouse like they said it works out of osu and the cursor freezes in the game for about a few seconds in osu sometimes causing you to die and rage quit. I actually bought a brand new mouse because i thought it was the mouse nope no difference. This needs to fixed ASAP I cant properly play until its fixed
