hand cramps when using a tablet?‬ · forum‬

I just switched from mouse to tablet and my pen hand (especially the knuckles for my pinky and ring finger) hurts a lot after maybe a minute of playing. Anybody have a problem like this or advice on how to fix it?

Some possibly relevant details:
The tablet I'm using is the Huion 420, which is the same as the osu tablet
I'm holding the pen like I would hold, well, a pen
I'm using a small active area around the bottom right corner of the tablet
My hand usually rests on the table next to the tablet

I'm willing to try just about anything, as I really want to learn the tablet

Try increasing the size. The size of the Huion is small enough as it is, if the area is too small, you'll tense up your hand to get some aim, which usually results in cramps.

You shouldn't really be applying much pressure to the pen with your fingers. You should be holding it just hard enough so it doesn't easily slip out of your fingers, any more is excess and unnecessary. The only right hand pains I've ever gotten were in my wrists when playing fast jump maps like airman or big black. Other than that, only my left hand fingers ever gets sore from osu from fast / long stream maps.
