Hey, I was just wondering how you connect osu! to steam. I probably just skimmed over something but it would be great if you could help!

The only thing I can think of is the integration thingie you can do. This game isn't linked to steam at all so...

Sorry, I meant like I see my friends and it says like "In Non-steam game osu!" or something like that
go to your steam library, options, "add non-steam game to my library" then look for osu!
If you're trying to get Steam to recognize osu! as a game, you would have to go to "+ Add a game" in the steam window and then click "Add a non-steam game". You would have to find osu! from the list of programs that come up, or manually find the osu! program if it doesn't come up.
If you do this, then whenever you open osu! from Steam, you will be labeled as playing a non-steam game called osu! to your friends. Steam Overlay will also be enabled for osu!
This should enable what you're looking for.

got weird lag whenever i got msg'd though, dunno if that's fixed or w/e now
