When is a map too hard for me?

I have been playing hddt maps for the last few days because i want to get better at them and im an aim player :p

I changed my skin to rafis' because i found that it helps me read high AR better like 10.33 and 10.47 but for some reason and not only this skin. I can only get high acc on the main skin i have been using since i started playing the game which is whitecat ck 1.0 even when playing no mod

So when playing hddt at around 260 bpm i can get a B usually around 80-87% acc and a bunch of misses sometimes 10+

Is this just going to build bad habits or should i just continue and get better over time?

Hello! I think its normal for u to do well on ur ‘main’ skin as its what ur eyes r used to. In my experience i cant (or i think i cant) read <ar10 using my dt skins so i have to use my nm (main) skin for those maps n vice versa. im also kind of wondering if thats a bad habit 😔.

But to try and answer your question in the title of this post, i believe that getting 80-90 acc will be worth playing as it challenges u just enough (maybe my standard for acc is too low). And getting 79 or below acc is when u should be considering playing an easier map/diff to practice on. I think its great ur challenging yourself but its really only effective if you feel urself getting better at dt maybe through looking at previous scores or just by feeling.

But its not just acc, if u feel like ur reading is sucky and ur just putting ur cursor over circles hoping u hit them, ur most likely not going to improve because the map is just too hard for ur current skill

I also kinda can't read ar 10 on no mod on high bpm but i think that's different from hddt. I think i can't read dt without hd too

I kinda get a lot of misses but i can definitely read it and im not just throwing my cursor around and i can feel myself tapping the circles.

Thanks for the advice

as long as you aware of cause of your misses you'll be fine

You'll probably eventually be better with rafis skin on DT than with whitecat skin, it's just better suited. I'd recommend to try it for a bit. It won't take long.

Most of the times its more of finger lock rather than miss aim.

I think i will get used to the higher bpm if i just play them alot
