Rather than using gamma, since that is bannable now, I've learned to play with brightness on 17 and contrast on 92, is this the same as using gamma? I've been using this for forever and can't read ar 9.8< without it, do i need to relearn this?
Exploiting use of gamma or other settings is something that might get you restricted. That can also include using it to read higher or lower ar.
I believe your best bet right now is to wait for official word regarding the matter. Since there's community backlash going on about this, it might be something that can change. You're still allowed to change your gamma 0.2 per screen calibration requirements according to peppy.
You should be able to change your settings according to how your monitor should feel normally. That much shouldn't be something that would get you in trouble.
