[Taiko] Is it okay for parts to feel repetitive?

I tend to map indie songs a lot more than EDMs, so when there's an instrumental part, the patterns look almost 1:1 from the previous ones. Even now, I'm mapping a 3* on this and it's very bland in terms of variety. Is repeating patterns okay and if not, how do I show variety?

if the song isn't varying much in rhythm at least, you can probably get away with Ctrl+C Ctrl+V, as long as you don't overdo it with very short units of repetition

and you can go to modding queues if unsure

in taiko if the verse/ chorus is almost as identical as the previous one and is very limited in terms of pattern variety due to its difficulty balancing, i would usually just invert the don and kat colours for the second verse to feel less repetitive from the patterns copy pasted from the first verse (depending on the song and patterning although most of the time it works well for me)
