This is what shows when I press the click to reveal the error.

It happened maybe about a month ago and i've just been looking evereywhere for a solution.

While osu! is closed, hold shift key and start the game until a configuration window pops up, click 'repair osu!' from there and see if that helps? This step should automatically replace the potentially corrupted/renamed osu!.exe.

that doesnt work, it deleted osu! and the shortcut and when I download the installer again, it just goes back to the osu! crashed application

Try downloading the installer, run it and then when it asks where to install click the updater to change the install location and browse to your osu! installation. It should repair the current osu! installation you have.

it just goes straight to the osu! crashed app

another thing that might be related to it is when i download a beatmap, its an osz. instead of an osk?

also, when i press restart osu!, it shows me details. here they are:
