(10k) How to get better at LN?

So I've been doing 10k for about a year now but I still absolutely suck at LN.

The main problem I've been facing is that my fingers freeze up when pressing the Long notes so I can't hit any other notes.

Any advice/help/beatmaps to practice on would be appreciated a lot!

Ya made me play 10k a lil bit again. You talking about songs like this? beatmapsets/1412361#mania/2911470 and beatmapsets/2067864#mania/4326043 and beatmapsets/2192925#mania/4639050 and beatmapsets/2119716#mania/4452868

Most of the time, when I freeze up. its usually a reading issue first and a finger co-ordination issue second.
Also in my experience with 10k, there is alot less room for sloppy 'technique in LN. E.g. In 7k, a lil bit of tension in the pinky doesn't matter as long as it doesn't inhibit the other fingers. But in 10k i find that a lil bit of tension in the pinky inhibits itself and even the nearby fingers to a lesser degree.

I usually put in a conscious effort to keep the palm of my hand relaxed a lil bit, and that tends to help. I don't immediately become an LN god, but I play a lil better and it feels smoother to play. I get a bit of a speed debuff, but its better to do something right once, than 10 times wrong. Thats how I deal with that above problem.

Some random tips below
•HT helps give u more time to read and learn how to co-ordinate the fingers.
•Don't slam the keys, just bottom em out.
•I lower the scroll speed a bit for LN maps. about 70-85% of my usual scrollspeed. Gives me more time to read and process it.
•Long hold notes can almost be treated like an anchor point. Don't press hard, just bottom it out so it feels secure.
•Wouldn't recommended Full LN for 10k to start with. I find it's way too hard to get any benefit out of it. Unless u use it to practice not holding the keys down super hard or something specific like that.

Thanks for the advice!

I never noticed how hard I was hitting the long notes before this nor think of lowering my scrollspeed.

Too bad I can't do full ln since I don't got a keyboard that can support that yet (max is 6 keys at the same time), but I'll definitely practice it to try stop hitting the long notes so hard when I get one that can.

Thanks again for the advice :)
