General Tournament Rules
- This osu!taiko tournament is a 1v1 Double-elimination tournament.
- Score V2 will be used. This means that this tournament is not yet done on osu!lazer.
- The following mods for FM and Tiebreaker are allowed: Hidden (HD), Hard Rock (HR), Hidden + Hard Rock (HDHR).
- No Fail (NF) is enforced on every pick.
Player Eligibility
- Players who currently have the Philippine Flag on their profile, or those who do not have the PH flag but have at least participated in the Qualifier rounds of previous osu! Philippines Nationals, regardless of mode, may join.
- Please note that aside from this restriction, normal badged tournament eligibility rules for players and staff apply.
Mappool Rules
- Each round will have its own mappool, which will be revealed on a livestream scheduled prior to the weekend of the round it is intended for.
- Except for the Qualifier round, each pool will have its own tiebreaker map.
Qualifier Stage
- Players must sign up to one of the qualifier lobbies provided by the hosts. Instructions will be announced after the Qualifiers mappool showcase. Players may request a special lobby if needed, as long as a referee is available at the requested time. If the player fails to set a schedule, they will be assigned to any available multiplayer room schedule according to their availability.
- The top 8 seeded players from the Qualifiers stage will be skipping Round of 24, and will go straight to Round of 16.
- There will be no warmups for all qualifiers lobbies. The mappool will be played twice during a lobby, and will be played in the following order: NM1, NM2, NM3, HD1, HR1 ,DT1, FM1. A 5-minute break will be offered between the first and second run of the mappool, which can be skipped if all players in the lobby are ready. A player may skip certain maps during their second run if they so desire.
- The player’s highest score for each map will be used for seeding. Players will be ordered by overall rank, which is computed by taking the average of their rankings on each map. In case of a tie, the sum of the top scores of the tied players are taken into account instead. Sharing of scores before the results showcase is discouraged.
- The number of players that will advance to the next stage will depend on the total number of participants.
Bracket Stage
- Players are seeded into a double-elimination bracket. They comprise of the Top 24 from the qualifiers.
- Mappool Sizes and Best of Format for each round are given as follows:
- Qualifiers: 3 NM, 1 HD/HR/DT, 1 FM
- Round of 24: 4 NM, 2 HD/HR/DT, 2 FM, 1 TB (Best of 9)
- Round of 16: 5 NM, 2 HD/HR/DT, 2 FM, 1 TB (Best of 9)
- Quarterfinals: 5 NM, 2 HD/HR/DT, 3 FM, 1 TB (Best of 11)
- Semifinals: 5 NM, 2 HD/HR/DT, 3 FM, 1 TB (Best of 11)
- Finals: 6 NM, 2 HD/HR/DT, 3 FM, 1 TB (Best of 13)
- Grand Finals: 6 NM, 2 HD/HR/DT, 3 FM, 1 TB (Best of 13)
- The bracket size will be dependent on the number of sign-ups.
- If there are not enough registrants for Round of 24, the Round of 16 mappool will be played and the pool will be reduced to 4 No Mods for the first week. On top of that, the second week will immediately be Best of 11 instead of Best of 9.
Bracket Stage Match Rules
- The multiplayer room will be created and invites sent to players 5-10 minutes prior to the match start time. The multiplayer rooms are named in the following format: "PHNT2025: (<Player 1>) vs. (<Player 2>)"
- In contrast to previous iterations, we will not be having warmup maps on all rounds starting this year.
- Players that lose their Round of 24 match are skipping the Round of 16 stage, and are going straight to the Quarterfinals.
- Rolls will decide the ban and pick order for each player. The player with the highest roll bans second and picks first while the player with the lowest roll bans first and picks second. Each player must name their bans and picks within 2 minutes. Otherwise, their bans and picks will be decided by a roll.
- Players must be ready within 2 minutes after a map was picked. The map will be played once the players are ready or once the timer ends.
- Players are eligible to use a 2 minute tactical time out once per match. They are only allowed to use it when it is their turn to pick. It will take into effect after the pick timer has expired.
- If a player disconnects from the game within the first 30 seconds of a chart, the referee shall abort the chart, and it will be replayed upon reconnection of the player. If a second disconnection by the same player happens, then the chart shall continue as is with no aborts.
- If a player disconnects from the game beyond the first 30 seconds of a chart, but has an available local score from the multiplayer instance, the player is obliged to send the replay/screenshot of the said local score to the referee for verification.
