gm chat,
i've tried a few variations of quantizing like manually cutting using fl studio (video), running python scripts and using timing tools for mapping however most of them seem to give me pretty shit results like clicking, resampling artifacts or straight up just not working not to mention it taking fucking ages to do any of these (apart from tempora).

if i'm going to put the time into quantizing a song i would like to do it with the hope that it would sound "professional" but finding guides on this usually boil down to quantizing your own songs with stems (multiple instrumental layers) or small snippets of a simple audio file.

basically is there a way i can learn to quantize properly and/or are there tools out there that can do it for me with some to no manual input?
spamming redlines is a good option tbh and works well but sv'ing and modding is a fucking pain and most bns cannot be bothered with that (which is understandable).

tldr = what is the best tool for quantizing full songs. i don't want to use redlines cuz it makes mapping a nightmare

have a good day and also share an interesting song

i believe it is a better choice to solely use 1 red line in your song if the song has no variant bpm

typically some widely used DAW tools for quantising are Ableton, FL Studio, and Melodyne, but honestly any DAW will work
most of the time you will need to turn on grids and use the note quantisation (like snapping 1/4 for drum, depending on what you will be working on) so they follow the beats

for vocals usually you will cut them into snippets, then stretch or adjust their pitch so it fits with the rhythm (kind of music production stuff)

it's better to work on it manually cuz you have to believe in your own auditory perception

ya i use fl for songs that are easy to fix maybe a few drums and shit but songs like https://osu.ppy.sh/beatmapsets/2308106#osu/5146201 i just endup making shit worse

if you happen to have the song's acapella and instrumental versions separately, you can fix its vocals that's not on the beat by cutting into snippets and stretching it, try to quantise both in multiple layers and make them both sound synchronised

because

looks very nightmarish to snap using variant bpm and i'll fall asleep halfway

not all songs have an acapella and instrumental track tbh most dont and using ai to split stems is pretty terrible for quantizing atm im still just looking for different ways to do it.

also im not asking you to time the song im just using an example

no i meant the example you provided showed an admirable effort done by them in timing the song accurately, and i described it as something i couldn't do because of the countless dedication and meticulousness it needed to time the song precisely, basically saying the map had a respectable effort in timing that takes a long time to complete
