ive been playing osu taiko for a while and no matter if i play on 3 or 6 stars i always get 80%
ive seen other posts saying i just have to play more but i spent so much time and i still didnt improve at all
when i play i always get a lot of 100hits instead of 300 no matter the bpm or speed and i cant figure out why
i usually play about 30 minutes a day on 7stars taiko and get on average 75-80%
please help i dont know what to do

Hello. You said you've played 3-7* with similar acc, this makes me think you might be a Tatsujin player. The thing is osu!Taiko and Tatsujin felt different, so you would want to stroll around many diffs and map styles and to score just as many scores as possible to get acquainted with the feelings.

When you face instablity like that, you might have a problem with control. To improve, you can try:
-Low BPM, 160 and below (this teach your fingers how to play the waiting time)
-Mild tech relative to you
-Even patterns for instance; kd dk; dk kd; kd kd dk dk kddk k d; etc.
-For all the former solutions, you should aim to get 98-99% acc.
(Note that you should keep the maps you play in the range of 7* you're playing. As long as it's FC-able then try it.)

Finally, get acquainted with OD (0-10). The higher it is, the more accurate you have to be. You can see right below the song title at the left top corner of your screen. OD 5-6 is pretty average, 7 and up starts to get difficult to play right.

Good luck!

Hey so first of all the skin could greatly affect your accuracy, for example using my best skin on a map I found difficult I had almost 97% acc, with a different skin that I was less familiar with I got 91% with only a few extra misses.

Hit volume and music volume could also help a lot because staying in rhythm is by far the most important to keep accuracy. You could additionally try this technique I gave to my brother:

1. Enter the editor on any map where the bpm is clear (not above 200 bpm)
2. Try tapping to the bpm at the top right in the editor where it says " tap here " and go on for about 10 seconds.
3. If the bpm isn't within 1 beat from the correct bpm you might be have an issue falling off rhythm.
4. Go into the map and remove every note and place your own (same color for all) - being the same exact grid either 1/1, 1/2 e.t.c
5. Close your eyes and tap to the beat, doing this should give you high accuracy, if u do not get that then you are probably playing maps without a care for the rhythm and instead just doing it based off of what you see.

One way to help this could be to tap at every beat so even if you are on a slow beat section tap on the parts even without notes to stay on rhythm. You can also alter where you look during the map, for example on slow speed look closer to the left, it's easier to know how when to tap compared to when looking very far to the right.

all you can reallydo is train it. like really i know im a mania player but i really do think just learning to hit accurately is only way

also, check both visual and audio offsets aswell as skin. you can prob check if the drum thing is aligned well with those taiko long note looking things as it should stay at hit position but idk
