hiiiii~ just a lil suggestion >w< i use osu-web chat a lot to talk with my friends, and i think it would be really nice if it had basic text formatting like bold or italic using bbcode or somethin, bc those lil things give the text more life, also, it would be nice if we could show images from links too, bc i love sending memes :3

mister i suggest you find a new friend jkkk >w< .... yes mister it would be a thing for a case like that or if they ever implement it they should also add an option to disable image formatting so we can stop specific dms from showing embedded images, or to just blur the image first, especially if we dont trust the sender cause yeah sometimes friends do friend things that end up scaring us huhuhuNeruKujimi wrote:

I get it, and that's actually how the osu! forum DMs used to work back then - it wasn't CHAT, it was forum messages. Many many users miss that feature, me included.
The in-game chats brought into the website replaced this feature completely, probably as a simple solution to bring IRC users into web aswell (I guess).
However as for the actual chat, it's very likely not going to happen, at least that's what I can already say from a moderating-perspective
