[Archived] [osu!lazer] [question] Leaderboard won't show up while I am playing

Problem details: when I play osu!mania(lazer), my scoreboard won't appear. I tried doing shift tab, changed skins, rejoined osu!lazer, didn't work... I tried it on multi and I think the leaderboard is like too much to the top that it's completely hidden, or at least the chat is so high up. Does anybody know how to fix it?


Video or screenshot showing the problem: (I don't know how to send a video or screenshot here, but imagine an osu!mania gameplay but the leaderboard is gone.)

Hi! Since latest lazer update, leaderboard is now skinnable element, you can add/move/resize/delete it with in-game skin editor!

To expand on the above, in skins where users customised the HUD layout themselves, the leaderboard was not automatically inserted into users' skins because it's not really feasible to pick a good location for the leaderboard without knowing what the user did to their skin. So in that case, you'll need to place it back in what you consider to be the proper place yourself.

that is a questionable decision, especially for someone who has 20+ skins, adding the leaderboard and spectator list manually is time-consuming work,

many people I've spoken to don’t even know the spectator list exists in the game, it's easy to miss, just skip watching the update notes, and there you go.

In the case mentioned above, this can even lead players to think the leaderboard is broken, that should not work like that (my opinion).

Also, changelog only present in english, so that not great either for some players who will search why their leaderboard gone, maybe the way is once game updated to show a slideshow, where new feature is presented just by graphics, for our case it's mouse, dragging leaderboard in skin. Or just not delete elements from skins...

People do all kinds of things with skins. If this is going to get fixed it will get fixed by dropping the leaderboard in some random location and just us hoping that it doesn't conflict with whatever the user did to the skin, and if it does, it'll horribly overlap with things and they'll have to fix it themselves anyway.

I'm not sure if that's the outcome you're expecting.

Also note that this all applies only to skins where the HUD layout was customised.

I don't quite understand how this is possible, in the past, no matter what changes I make to the skin, they wouldn't change the position of the leaderboard, and if it stayed there after it became a new element, it wouldn't have conflict with anything.

Personally, I've customised all my skins, and now I need to add a new element to everything, and I'll add it to the same place, which generally makes that process pointless.

note: I understand that nothing can be fixed now, but in the future, using my feedback can significantly improve the user experience by not repeating unwanted edits to skins a third (kinda) time.
