Would any 7 digits be interesting in me running a world cup? I'd provide any info required, explain how tournaments work, in the case of osu!, and just provide for a fun, nice introduction to the tournament world.

7WC is the worst idea you could have + multiaccount hell. It's bound to have glaring mistakes.
If 6WC fucks it up from time to time, then 7WC would be way worse.

well ofc there is the "why not" ofc 7-digits would like to play in some tournaments, but then there's the issue of that being the level of people just starting to play the game and not even having to found forums, let alone the tournament scene, and even if they do magically stumble upon this post, then they gotta learn all about how a tourney works and dedicate a lot of time in experiancing a whole now thing they have no prior experiance with, whilst not even fully being into the game + there's all the FF's and publicity issues, bc who would want to watch that and it's a whole mush of much work and little reward, like why would you even want to do that in the first place, especially with a 7WC existing alreadyAviaOsu wrote:

All I said was that no one would oppose another 7 digit tourney, but there’s no reason to make more of them other than the ones that already exist, because it’s a pain in the ass to do that, especially with the multiaccounters, non-dedicated players and all of the explaining and management issuesAviaOsu wrote:

The problem with 7digit tournaments is it's effectively impossible to make a map pool to test significantly unique skillsets, ofc you could simply just do it as a "friendly" competition where actual tests of skills are less focused on, but at the same time, that sorta invalidates what tournaments aim to do.

There's no point in introducing 7 digits to tournaments when the lowest tier tournament that consistently get hosted are 100k+ or sometimes 150k+. You're better off hosting a casual 250k+/300k+ tourneyKqma wrote:

You could easily pool speed, and aim and they could also learn the diff between singletap and alt, etcand again because it seems like you’re ignoring criticism - no one would oppose a 7 digit tourney, host it if you want, I don’t even understand what’s the point of this post, did you expect someone to go like “No. Actually I wouldn’t like to participate in the rare tourney that does fall under my skill range.” so I mean yeah.
and second of all as other people have mentioned there are pool, multiaccounting, staff, publicity and player finding issues-(tbh I feel like no 7 digits would ever check the forum for a 7 digit tourney when they have just found osu, and actually to find ppl that want to play in a multi would be as hard as finding a random 2 digit) and again again there are plenty of big 7 digit “world cups” which is plenty in my opinion, but again again again HOST IT IF YOU WANT TO WHOS GONNA SAY NO?
