Very large tablet with very noticeable hardware smoothing. I was playing with it for a long period of time and after switching to my next tablet it is night and day difference. Don't recommend. It also has chargeable pen, making it even less convenient

nice and thick pen
(might just be me) tablet itself is pretty small so if u have big hands you might need a lower area or just brute force aiming in some parts (bottom right)
pen buttons might need to be taken out since when pressed while aiming the cursor bugs out

Railgun_
- Good Tablet for beginners.
- Said hardware smoothing is unnoticeable, can be exterminated by Filters in OTD (OpenTabletDriver).
- Pen is nice to hold, but can be annoying to hold, as pen buttons cause interference to input when pressed.

Ansatsu
-Pen is quite nice to hold and is quite light
-Hardware smoothing exists, it is noticeable(some people won't notice it, a complete beginner certainly won't)
-Terminating hardware smoothing is quite difficult, not guaranteed to remove either(at least for me, maybe someone who is smarter can figure it out)
-Was $30AUD(19.62USD) for me, but price has gone up
-Would recommend spending a little bit more on a Walcom CTL-472
-However, it should be noted that it is better than any other non-Walcom tablet
-Just get Walcom honestly

My first tablet. I didn't go for the popular ones as I also had another focus in drawing. Back then, I didn't have drivers installed and I don't know if there are any for it now. I couldn't set an area so I played full area/windowed mode. The tablet is really big and if your hands tend to sweat you will need a specific glove.

- cheap
- smoothing is very noticeable
- side buttons make the cursor teleport
- lightweight
- it's bad
- pen is very quick to slip out of your hand when it wants to

This was my first tablet ever. The pen was kind of fat and heavy. Also, it had significant smoothing (input delay) built in. I've heard the XP-Pen G640 is basically it just better, also at a reasonable pricepoint. Overall, not awful, but I wouldn't recommend it. 4/10

I switched to this after my Veikk. It was a very noticeable improvement, I preferred the pen and it felt smoother and had less smoothing (ok that sounds stupid). Nothing bad to say except for the fact that after a few years my first CTH-480 slowly stopped working. The cursor would shake a lot and the hover distance became greatly reduced. There were other extremely odd things (such as the fact that the shake of the cursor would increase with use of the tablet, and then decrease again as it "rested") that I won't get into detail about. Ok, I had made a small chip in it and it had endured a decent amount of use. I figured it was just the tablet. However, I got 2 more and they both did the same thing. I scoured the web, asked around on several forums and considered a plethora of things, from the drivers to electromagnetic interference to a problem with my own computer. I never found a solution. Honestly not sure what that was about. I'll have to give it a 7/10 for that, but I've never heard of someone having the same problem as me

Wacom CTL-4100 user here, really love this tablet, pretty much the same as the 472 but I mainly love it cause of the slightly different pen and the buttons which make the tablet more convenient to me.

TLDR; Same as the 472 but bigger and added buttons

keremaru
another wacom ctl-4100 user. made the switch from trackpad, since having to lick my finger before every play just to avoid friction and track burn got annoying - and just gross in general. since this is the first tablet i've bought (and hopefully the only), i have no comparison in regards to other tablets.

this is a pretty decently sized tablet, so i don't think full area is that bad - if you're too lazy to figure out your own play area (like i am). and because it's a wacom tablet, you can use the wacom tablet properties program to disable pen buttons for osu! (so you don't need to disable mouse inputs if you play another gamemode with mouse buttons, or if you use a mouse to click), and add a layout for another program like photoshop/sai/gimp (which i do).
my only real complaint is the lack of space for the bottom corners, since every other corner and space has ample room for my wrist to rest on. i think the top buttons could have been moved up more - just to give the bottom corners more space - especially since the buttons are big enough as is.

being able to rebind the buttons to mouse buttons and use those instead of a keyboard is kind of a cool idea... in execution though it's really arbitrary, especially if you're someone like me who prefers having their hands on separate sides of their table. the size of the buttons also works as a detriment in this playstyle, since streaming is more exhausting because of how far your fingers are spaced. if you're used to the finger space, don't mind having your playfield in one focal spot, and either don't play full area or mind your arm obstructing the play area, then you can go for it. actually, the only situation i'd ever see this being the only way to play osu! is if you somehow don't have a mouse or keyboard. otherwise, just stick to those.

i don't really have anything substantial to say about the pen. it's durable, light, and chunky enough for a good grip but skinny enough that it isn't awkward to hold. you can hold it in a variety of grips, and get the same result with every one - so it's very reliable on that front.

all in all, a good tablet i'm gonna stick with for as long as i can.

My current tablet. Feels no different from the CTH-480 to me, but it's a bit smaller. I preferred the larger size of the CTH-480, as it gave my hand somewhere to rest that was at the same elevation as the tip of the pen. But, that's not a very significant difference and the thing still works, which I can't say for the CTH-480. 8/10

472 ist geil aber die oberflaeche ist sehr rau

Uncle Eugene
The absolute winner. No hardware smoothing, conveniently small, but not too small. Very nice and light pen. The only big problem it has - pen tip is getting destroyed in minutes, so you have to buy cover along with this tablet. But with cover its fine

Lotus7
The most highly recommended tablet for osu in general. It's cheap and has no hardware smoothing meaning you can adjust the smoothing filters freely in otd as you so wish.

I must say though, that I was NOT well adjusted at first when I made the switch bc it had a rough surface texture (which eventually smoothens out when you play on it) and I had to rest my aim hand on the tablet instead of the table. This led to a majority of grip issues but I got used to it after some time.

Playing with this tablet just feels so smooth. You may see every bit of movement, including your nervousness but it really speaks for it being so responsive. I actually got back into playing osu! mainly because of how much fun I have playing with this tablet.

Solid tablet with active area exactly like on CTL/H 680. Personally I don’t really compared to 680 because its way too slim and slippery for me but I definitely cant call it a bad experience. Although playing on full area on this tablet is a tiny bit painful as the pen sometimes stops detecting on big and fast jumps which for reference didnt happen on 680. If you dont play full area and like slim pens this tablet is 100% your choice

* I've used the Wacom Intuos S since I started playing. It's reliable, pen is very comfortable (you could always get a grip for it since Amazon has a bunch), and it's pretty sturdy. It's perfect for left-handed players like me since the express keys are at the top of the tablet instead of on the side!

* I bought it for 50 bucks on Amazon and it also comes with software (2 years of clip studio paint pro, corel aftershot, 6 month trial for kami, and a few others)
* I'd disable the pen buttons in WacomCenter as they can get in the way of playing.
* They usually last about 3 years give or take. I've dropped mine a few times and they work perfectly fine. I'd recommend buying pen nibs alongside the tablet since the original package only comes with 3, which is inside the pen. They wear very easily and fast.
* I don't know anything about hardware smoothing, though.

At first it seems like a nice tablet for osu, but after some comparison with other tablets - it is absolutely not. Garbage, don't use don't buy. The main problem, as I understood it, is request frequency is too low, so your cursor updates noticeably rarely compared to other tablets

bought it for cheap (around 25 eur or so) when i was new in 2019 and surprisingly still works smoothly despite constant usage
pen is a bit thicker than what you might be used to, can also be kinda slippery with clammy hands but it's no different from average pen i think
dragging sucks cuz it leaves scratches on the surface and wears down the pen tip really easily, my tablet area has been glistering for several years as a result
resolution is kinda noticeably low especially for smaller areas, like i can notice the cursor snapping to grid with a 4xsomething cm 16:9 area, though i think if you intend to only use it to play game casually it really isn't that big of an issue

probably one of the better budget options for people looking to try playing osu with tablet i guess? though i haven't really tried much tablets out there so /shrug
oh right also good practice to just disable the buttons cuz if u have them enabled and accidentally press a button + try to move while hovering it just... doesn't

Lotus7
This was my first tablet that I bought for osu! Relatively cheap and ergonomic as its smaller than most tablets. Problem with it is that it has hardware smoothing. Compared to the CTL-472 which has no hardware smoothing, you need to get used to the delayed cursor.

It's good for tripod grips since you dont need to rest your hand on the tablet necessarily as its small and thin af. Sometimes i debate switching back to it bc my aim felt better with it idk.

Overall, I'd give it a 6/10 👍 Okay tablet for beginners

This tablet is a good purchase. It does look a bit cheap but who cares. It's a bit on the smaller size but it works just fine. I definitely set some top plays with it. I would always recommend this one if you are on a budget!

skill_issue_xd
-decent tablet for beginners ig
-compact and lightweight
-considerable price especially if youre on a budget
-low latency
-ok quality

the only real problem here is the pen since its made out of plastic and the side buttons are a bit annoying. anyways yeah this tablet is decent it helped me get like a ton of 100pp+ plays yeah thats pretty much it

id rate it like a 7.5/10 would recommend
(btw i used this tablet for almost a year now so ts is probably gonna help you)
and sorry if this review is bad its just my personal experience
i forgot to mention that this is my first tablet and im still using it since to this day

Could you add a note on my CTL-472 review that says to refer to my CTH-480 review for the comments I made about that tablet within the 472 review?

Yep, it seems like that's the correct tablet identifier, the product name seems right but is probably harder to identify since it sounds a little bit vague - so let's stick to the identifier instead of product names...

There's maybe atleast 5-25 ppl who use it, atleast. For a bit smaller (large models) there's probably hundreds of players.

It's not really being too big, if you want to use bigger area anyone can learn. It might be too big at first but that's only a good thing, keeps you seeing progress when you try to go for it.

-decent tablet for beginners ig
-compact and lightweight
-considerable price especially if youre on a budget
-low latency

the only real problem here is the pen since its made out of plastic and the side buttons are a bit annoying. anyways yeah this tablet is decent it helped me get like a ton of 100pp+ plays yeah thats pretty much it

id rate it like a 7.5/10 would recommend

and sorry if this review is bad its just my personal experience

This was my first tablet that I bought for osu! Relatively cheap and ergonomic as its smaller than most tablets. Problem with it is that it has hardware smoothing. Compared to the CTL-472 which has no hardware smoothing, you need to get used to the delayed cursor.

It's good for tripod grips since you dont need to rest your hand on the tablet necessarily as its small and thin af. Sometimes i debate switching back to it bc my aim felt better with it idk.

Overall, I'd give it a 6/10 👍 Okay tablet for beginners

Wacom CTL-472:
The most highly recommended tablet for osu in general. It's cheap and has no hardware smoothing meaning you can adjust the smoothing filters freely in otd as you so wish.

I must say though, that I was NOT well adjusted at first when I made the switch bc it had a rough surface texture (which eventually smoothens out when you play on it) and I had to rest my aim hand on the tablet instead of the table. This led to a majority of grip issues but I got used to it after some time.

another wacom ctl-4100 user. made the switch from trackpad, since having to lick my finger before every play just to avoid friction and track burn got annoying - and just gross in general. since this is the first tablet i've bought (and hopefully the only), i have no comparison in regards to other tablets.

this is a pretty decently sized tablet, so i don't think full area is that bad - if you're too lazy to figure out your own play area (like i am). and because it's a wacom tablet, you can use the wacom tablet properties program to disable pen buttons for osu!

Gaomon s620:
-Pen is quite nice to hold and is quite light
-Hardware smoothing exists, it is noticeable(some people won't notice it, a complete beginner certainly won't)
-Terminating hardware smoothing is quite difficult, not guaranteed to remove either(at least for me, maybe someone who is smarter can figure it out)
-Was $30AUD(19.62USD) for me, but price has gone up
-Would recommend spending a little bit more on a Walcom CTL-472
-However, it should be noted that it is better than any other non-Walcom tablet
-Just get Walcom honestly

As (not) proud owner of a parblo ninos n4 all i can say is that you can forget about using OTD, only official drivers and turned on "game mode", cuz on otd this piece of tablets has input lag so much, that when i switched drivers i was so shocked (1.5 years of playin like that, ofc i was) that i was overshooting so much, long story short on this tablet you want to use off drivers and "game mode" always on (sometimes its turning himself off). Pen is great, but if you have a sweaty fingers you might wanna consider buying some tape, from the box tablet have matte layer, so no, your tablet is not destroying himself. OH almost forgot, tablet have 2 modes, one is for pc (green), one is for phones (black) and as you can guess "phone mode" has some kind of smoothing and bc of that input lag.
