SkY TN's Rhythm Evolution:
・This is a 4v4, osu!std tournament with a max team size of 8
・This tournament is only for players within the BWS* rank range [1k-9,999]
・Joining the Discord server is required
・This is an International tournament. Players can participate from any country and teams may be composed of players from different countries if you so wish.

*bwsRank = curentRank^(0.9937^(badges^2))
use this graph to calculate your bws rank if you're lazy (basically change the y to your osu! rank and the b to the number of badges on your profile)
note: any badges that are older than January 1st 2022 will not count towards bws
Gameplay
- The 32 best-performing TEAMS will advance from Qualifiers into a double elimination bracket stage (Qualifiers period will last about a week)
- There is no limit on the amount of players who can participate for Qualifiers
- All the other matches in the bracket stage will be played on The Weekends
- Staff members are not allowed to participate, with the exception of streamers, commentators and GFX
- All match times will be listed in local time UTC+0
- Every match will have a referee present in the lobby
- Every map will be played with NF and Scorev2, in addition to the listed mods
- Standard tournaments rules will apply to this tournament as well; if something is not mentioned here common sense will be used
*All players are subject to official player screening, meaning any misconduct during the past 12 months, or ongoing tournament bans, may void your eligibility to play, more on this in the Rules section.

General Rules

Scheduling
  1. For Qualifiers there will be a list of possible lobbies to choose from. (On the mainsheet)
  2. The default schedule for the bracket matches will be on the mainsheet
  3. Not attending the match in the time provided (within a 15 mins delay) will lead to disqualification
  4. If there are scheduling issues with the opposing team, contact a Host/Admin as soon as possible

Screening
after the player registration period ends, all registered players will go through a manual pre-screening by the hosts for the following reasons:
  1. Not staying in the rank range before the registration ends
  2. Not in the Discord server
once this is complete, the final list will be submitted to osu! staff for the official screening process.
If a player is screened out by osu! staff, we will not be informed of the specific reason for their disqualification. you can email them at accounts@ppy.sh

Match Procedure

Pre-match
- The order of matches will be:
Warmups → Rolls → Bans → Picks
- Match invites will be sent 5 to 10 minutes before the match time
- Players are allowed to ping the Hosts in the discord server ONLY if their matches' referee is missing 15 minutes before the match time
- The first team in the lobby name is Team Red and will be in slots 1-4 in the lobby. The other will be Team Blue and will be in slots 5-8

Warmups
Teams are free to choose a warmup map
Teams can also skip their warmups
Warmups must be:
  1. Shorter than 4 minutes
  2. Played with Free Mod on
  3. Cannot be from the mappool
  4. Safe for Work (including background, lyrical content, etc)
  5. If match is streamed, captains should send their team's warmup map to the referee at least 10 minutes prior to the match time to avoid any copyright claims on the VOD

Rolls/Picks/Bans
Rolls are to be made by the player of each team using the command "!roll"
Winner chooses pick/ban order, loser chooses the remaining choice

Timer
A 90 second timer will be enforced for every pick in the match
> If a team fails to pick a map after 90 seconds, the referee will give that team a warning
> If further infringements happen, that team will forfeit their pick to the other team
> Pick order will stay the same after the missed pickAn additional 2 minute timer will be given afterward each pick to prepare rosters and ready up
> If a team has repeatedly and maliciously gone over the timer, the referee is allowed to award that point to the opposing team

Mid-match
  1. In the rare event of a tie, the result will be nullified and the map will be replayed
Disconnects
> If a player disconnects within the first 30 seconds of a map, the map will be aborted and replayed. Disconnects after 30 seconds will not be aborted
> If another disconnect occurs, then only submitted scores will be counted

Free Mod Rules
The following are the mod options/restrictions for each player:
> at least 3 players per team will have to choose a mod. (Mods allowed are HD, HR, and EZ)
> Teams must have at least one player with HR and one player with HD or EZ. Mod combinations are accepted; however, HDHR counts as HR for this mod requirement.
> EZ multiplier = x1.8 (maximum score of 900,000)

Qualifier Results

Seeding Method
The seeding method that will be used after qualifiers is Placements specificly we will use the Sum of all the placements on each indivisual pick in the mappool, to calculate a number that will determine your ranking compared to the rest of the teams.

In the rare event of tie in placement we do the following:
1. The placements of the tied teams on each map of the pool are ranked against each other
2. We calculate the sum of those in-between placements
3. We re-rank the tied teams based on the higher in-between placements sum

What happens if there is a tie again ?
We use a different approach where we give the higher seed to the team that has the highest original placements on any of the maps
(eg: Team one has their best seed in DT1, they got seed 6 for example while Team 2 got their best seed on NM2 where they placed 8th so to break the tie Team 1 gets the higher seed of the tie while Team 2 gets the lower seed of the tie)
