[resolved] [osu!lazer] Can't find where beatmaps are downloaded to

Problem details: I try to search for the files but they seem to be nowhere on my computer. ive seen people say they are in the 'songs' folder but there is no songs folder. I open file location for osu and it shows a bunch of random files and folders. after downloading a beatmap i click open in folder but it dosen't do anything. Also when you delete a song off osu itself does it download off your computer?

The stable client does have the "Songs" folder where all beatmaps are stored. However, the Lazer client uses a complately different file storage where most of the files are stored in a single folder to avoid duplicates of the same file saving a lot of space.

I assume you're using lazer so downloading beatmaps from the web is not that needed but instead, you can download them directly from the game client. Once downloaded, the game client will handle everything else for you to play it.

Deleting a beatmap will also delete them permanently so you have to redownload them.
