[STD] osu! AtLANta Spring '25 | 1v1 | In-person LAN event

Once again, Georgia Tech Esports and the Georgia osu! Community Discord are proud to present osu! AtLANta ‘25! This is an in-person BYOC osu! event, located on the Georgia Tech campus in Atlanta. While this event will primarily feature a 1v1 tournament, we also encourage casual players to come hang out and click circles! We are inviting all osu! players in the Southeast US to attend!

Location: Klaus Advanced Computing Building 2443 @ Georgia Tech


Tournament Overview


Lines with an asterisk (*) denote tentative information, subject to change!!! (check FAQ for more information)

  1. This is an in-person, 1v1 osu!standard tournament open to players of all ranks.
  2. As this is a one day event, all tournament matches will be played during that time.
  3. You must be physically present at the venue to participate in the tournament.
  4. All matches will be played using Head to Head, Score V2.
  5. ***The playoff stage will follow a standard double-elimination bracket format.
  6. All players participating in the tournament are required to bring their own computer.

Registration


  1. To participate in the tournament, all players must register by March 9th.
  2. Players not participating in the tournament, but still attending the event, are encouraged to register.

  4. Joining the Discord server is required to participate in the tournament.

Event Details


  1. Information such as directions, parking, FAQ, etc. can be found in the FAQ doc.
  2. Any questions should be directed to the #questions channel in the Discord.
  3. There is no Ethernet connection, we apologize if this is inconvenient.


10:00am - Check in / Setup
12:00pm - Round of 32
1:30pm - Lunch
2:30pm - Round of 16
4:00pm - Quarterfinals
5:00pm - Dinner / Group Picture
6:00pm - Semifinals
7:30pm - Finals
8:15pm - Grandfinals
10:00pm - Event Finals

Note: Schedule is a loose outline; there should be plenty of break time in-between tournament stages. Tournament format is subject to change depending on RSVP form answers and turnout.


Tentative Playoff Format


  1. This assumes a standard double-elimination format, subject to change (read FAQ for more information).
  2. Players who register to play in the tournament will be seeded by rank.
  3. The playoffs will follow a standard double-elimination bracket format.
  4. Stage Details
    1. Bo9: Round of 32 / Round of 16
    2. Bo9: Quarter Finals / Semi Finals
    3. Bo11: Finals
    4. Bo13: Grand Finals
  5. Match Procedure
    1. Both players will join a lobby and check that the following settings are correct: (Team mode: Head-to-head, Win condition: Score V2)
    2. Both players will also record the multiplayer match history link.
    3. To start each match, both players will !roll.
    4. Each player gets two bans: The player with the higher roll will decide the pick/ban order for the two players. (First pick is second ban, and first ban is second pick, and the bans are alternated.)
    5. FreeMod is ForceMod, players must take any combination of HD/HR/EZ/FL.
    6. If both players hit match point, the tiebreaker map must be played.
    7. Tiebreakers are played with FreeMod enabled, however, a mod is not required. (NF is still enforced.)
  6. Match Reporting
    1. After the match, both players will report to the #match-reporting discord channel to report their scores.
    2. Both players must unanimously agree on the winner of the match.
    3. In case of a disagreement, a staff member will check the match history link and make a judgment call.

Rules


  1. Missing your match counts as a loss. No rematches will be scheduled.
  2. If a player disconnects, the opponent decides whether to play a rematch or not. Second and further disconnects are considered a loss of a point.
  3. Any disregard for these rules will be met with punishment, ranging from a warning to immediate disqualification. Staff members have the final say in any sort of disciplinary action.
  4. Restricted players will not be eligible to participate in the tournament.
  5. If you have any other questions, please notify a staff member in the #questions channel on our discord.

We will be running a Capture the Achievement competition during the LAN! Inspired by Sheppsu's original CTA, challenges will be in a variety of categories--skill, trivia, IRL, etc. To participate, you must be in-person and registered at the LAN event. Teams of at most 2 will be allowed in the event.
