- This is an osu!standard tourney for Australian/New Zealand players only. Participants must have an Australian or New Zealand flag on their osu profile. International signups will stop indefinitely.
- All team members must be in the Discord server whilst playing in the tournament.
- Matches will be 2v2 with a variety of score types.
- The combined rank of the two players of each team must be at least 400 PBWS (modified version of BWS, shown below). There is a Discord bot which will help with the calculations.
- Any harassment or abuse of a staff member or other players/spectators will result in expulsion from the tournament. And a blacklist from any future tournaments.
- If a problem occurs where rules are not clear, questions can be directed to the organisers. They have final say regarding these situations.
- If teams fail to follow rules / guidelines set by the forum post or instructions by the hosts, teams may be disqualified and/or blacklisted from future ANZT tournaments.
- Tournament hosts have the discretion to force a team to change their team name if they believe the team name is: offensive, discriminatory, overtly sexual, made in general bad taste, or contains website links
- Teams are allowed to reschedule their matches up to 2 hours before the old OR new time (whichever comes first)
- Hosts/Referees/Mappool Contributors/Sheeters will not be able to participate in the tournament under any capacity
- All dates and times are written in AEDT (UTC+11)
Prestigious Badge Weighting System (PBWS)
(rank ^ (0.9937 ^ (total badges ^ 2))) ^ (0.85 ^ prestigious badges)
(rank ^ (0.9937 ^ (total badges ^ 2))) ^ (0.85 ^ prestigious badges)
- Prestigious Badge Weighted System (PBWS) is a modified version of BWS designed to add higher scaling to badges from top level tournaments.
- Only osu! standard tournament badges are counted, starting from the 1st of January, 2022
- "Prestigious badges" are counted as badges that come from a tournament where the top 3 places earn badges, instead of just the winner.
- For players with no prestigious badges, this formula is no different from BWS, and normal BWS values can be used.
- In the formula below, badges are inclusive of prestigious badges. If a player has 3 badges, and one of them is an OWC badge (prestigious), then they fill out 'badges' as 3, and 'prestigious badges' as 1.
- The system is designed to appropriately rank top level players with badges in the highest tier of tournaments who have little to no other badges.
- This system was designed specifically for ANZT and the expected playerbase, and has only been tested for them. We do not recommend the system in its current state be used elsewhere (feel free to if you deem the numbers appropriate for your tournament though).

Regarding recent changes to player eligibility
Players who do not possess an Australian or New Zealand flag in their osu profile will not be allowed to compete in any ANZT competition until further notice. This is due to a recent official tournament support change made in November 2024 which brings new prohibitions to the collection of player’s personal data. These prohibitions include the collection of data to prove citizenship or visa eligibility to compete in regional tournaments, which was previously allowed and used in former ANZT tournaments. Although the rule is enforced on tournaments with forums posted on or after January 1st 2025, we have reached out to support and they have stated that they expect us to follow the new guideline regardless of forum post date. We apologise for the inconvenience this change may cause.

For monetary prizes, players will be asked for their preferred method of receiving their payment, which may include personal information. This will be done via Discord private messaging and the information collected will not be stored after usage. For physical prizes via Korelax, individual private channels will be made including the player, the hosts for the tournament, and the Korelax team. The personal information collected may include, but is not limited to: personal details of the player, and their home addresses. This information will not be stored on any sheets or database relating to Korelax, and will be directly inputted into Australia Post. Upon a player’s confirmation that the prize has been received, the private channel will be deleted.
Due to the nature of PayPal and other financial banking/transaction apps, personal details may be disclosed during donations to tournament hosts as per PayPal's own policies. Staff will not record any of these personal details down in any sort of matter that is deemed unnecessary. A donator's details may only be recorded and databased on the count of fulfilling legal, financial and tax obligations during or after the competition, of which if it does happen, the donator will be notified.
If there are any changes to the privacy policy in any way, an announcement will be made via the ANZT Discord server, with the same changes being reflected in the competition forum post, and registration form. Players may be asked to agree to a new privacy policy if needed and may choose to resign from the tournament if they disagree with the new policy.

Qualifiers:
- NF will be used on all maps.
- Top 32 qualifying teams will go into a RO32 double-elimination bracket.
- The final qualifier lobby must be at 23:00 AEDT, 2nd of February.
- z-score was used as the seeding method for qualifiers.
- For each score per team, we get the team's combined score, minus the average combined score for the map, and then divide the result by the standard deviation of all combined scores for the map.
- The scores for each map will then be scaled between 0 and 1.
- The scores for each map will then be added together, with the highest total score getting the 1st seed.
- Referees will create the lobby and invite players 10 minutes before the designated match time.
- Teams have up to 10 minutes after their designated start time to move into the lobby. If there are less than 2 players from a team in the lobby, this will result in a forfeit from that team.
- In the case that both teams forfeit due to not being in the lobby, the higher seeded team wins. In Grand Finals week, however, the match will be rescheduled.
- If any player is not present 10 minutes after the scheduled start of their match, the match may not be rescheduled.
- If a referee is not present, the match will be rescheduled.
- Each team is allowed one warmup map. Warmup maps must not be longer than 4 minutes, must not be in the current week's mappool and must be an osu! standard, submitted map. Each team may skip their own warmup map.
- Warmup maps must follow osu Visual Content Considerations and Song Content Rules
- Unless otherwise specified, matches will be played with:
- 2 players from each team.
- NoFail on.
- ScoreV2.
- Team VS.
- If a player disconnects within the first 1/4 of a map, the map will be aborted and replayed. This will be allowed once per team, per match. Any further disconnects from a player in the team will result in a score of 0 for the player. Any active amplifiers used on this map may not be refunded if the map is not replayed.
- Unless otherwise specified, the roll winner gets to choose either the pick or ban order (1st or 2nd on either). Roll loser chooses the order for the unchosen option.
- Each team is allowed one ban. From quarterfinals onwards, each team is allowed two bans. Ban order will be A > B > B > A. There are no restrictions on which maps can be banned other than the tiebreaker map.
- 90 seconds will be allowed for each ban. If a map is not banned during this time, the ban will be automatically skipped.
- 2 minutes will be allowed for each pick. If a map is not picked during this time, the pick will automatically go to the other team. During the next map, the opposing team will pick, as usual.
- A 90 second ready timer will be enforced. If both teams are not ready by the 90 seconds, an !mp start 30 will be used.
- If teams tie scores on a map, neither team gets a point and the match continues as normal. Any active amplifiers used on this map may not be refunded.
- If both teams are 1 point away from winning the match, teams will play the tiebreaker. Each player must play with any of NM/EZ (1.75x multiplier)/HD/HR/FL. A combination of these mods may be used.
The gimmick for this tournament - Amplifiers:
The Carry I
- In general, these are special, match-changing abilities that each team will have during a match.
- These amplifiers may change how match procedures and scoring will function. Please read amplifiers carefully before use.
- Unlike previous iterations, there will only be Active amplifiers.
- All amplifiers will be split into 3 tiers - Silver, Gold, and Prismatic.
- Each team will receive 3 amplifiers for their match, one from each tier.
- Teams are not forced to use amplifiers, if they decide not to use them.
- Amplifiers may only be used during the team’s pick and cannot be stacked (using two at the same time).
- An active amplifier has a specified number of times it may be used, and certain requirements that must be met before it can be used.
- The amplifiers themselves will increase in complexity throughout the tournament.
- Unless in extreme situations, amplifiers may be subject to balance changes and/or removal from week to week but will not be changed leading up to matches.
- On the Monday night of each round, a livestream will be held to showcase the mappool.
- After the mappool showcase, each team’s amplifiers will be rolled on stream.
- Teams may decide to reroll their amplifiers if they choose too, and may choose which amplifiers they want to reroll. Once a reroll has been committed to, teams may not fall back on previous amplifiers and must stick with their new amplifiers. Teams may not receive an amplifier during the reroll that they originally had.
- Teams will have until Thursday 11:59pm AEDT to decide which amplifiers they want to reroll.
- If a match is rescheduled to before Friday 12:00pm AEDT, both teams must decide if they want to reroll at least 12 hours before the new match time (or immediately, if less time is given for the reschedule).
