Why is the Mirror (MR) mod unranked?

On osu!lazer, there's a mod called Mirror that basically just allows you to flip a map on the vertical, horizontal axis, or both. I find it really good for dealing with mindblock (i think something similar already exists for stable), but it's unranked right now.



Why is it unranked, and will it be rankable in the future?

I can't see it giving any gameplay advantage outside of dealing with mindblock, and it's ranked on osu!mania (i know it's a completely different game-mode, but you can see what i mean).

Partially because it will make HR easier, partially because it's experimental and a for fun mod, and doesn't add any difficulty, therefore, it shouldn't be, aaaaand aaaalso, if it would be ranked, then it would have to be added to Stable, which would mean that the remaining 30 mods would also need to be added, since it would be just so out of place.

I don't think mods need to be added to stable to be ranked, the blinds mod is ranked but not in stable for example. (also stable is "feature locked")

yes, but blinds would be a more officialish mod, since it's comparable to FL, mirror just reverses the screen, and it would have to have it's own category, score multiplier, bla bla bla

iirc, mirror mod currently doesn't affect stacks properly, so it can affect the difficulty of some maps

well, i don't feel like it was meant as a fun mod (it's in the conversion category after all), this is just a bug that needs to be fixed before it (maybe) gets ranked

i'd like to see it ranked. maybe make it unusable with Hard Rock like someone said above? i could really use it for mindblock xD
