I have been playing Muzukashii with DT for some time now and I want to move to oni diff but for some reason I cant even do simple kkd or ddk on 130bpm(Im a dd kk player).Everytime when I want to press kkd my muscle memory clicks 3 k times instead of just 2 .I was playing TBT Intermediate Pattern Training map to learn it but for the past hour its just the same accidentel triple clicks. What should I do?

First of all, this should be published on the Taiko forum but I think it might coincide with the forum topic about questions.

• It's going to sound stressful what I'm going to say but what it's almost always "play more" to advance, I'm also a DD KK player and it took me a long time to get past that point, but the more you play Oni diffs, it will become easier for you to the point that muscle memory will know what to do, just try it and don't give up :3

play lepidon onis, they helped me a lot!

might help to play on lazer w/ the random and halftime mods (lazer ht/dt has %-granularity so you can effectively choose the map's bpm) at least until you're able to hit a decent number of patterns at which point I'd just start playing maps without rd/ht

this is going to sound like generic advice but play more
keep playing pattern training map and one day you will get the hang of it 😌
i personally did not have many issues from muzu to oni so i cant give much specific advice but the more you play the more you will improve, at this level it is impossible not to improve so keep at it and do not give up. pattern training maps are probably the best you can do atm, or trying oni maps with HT / EZ ?

try to dose yourself with EZ or HR mod, it might help the read.
sometimes i do (kk)d or (dd)k instead because it's more of a braindead method. after you got it right make it high acc.
