Problem details: i don't know why, but today osu! started lagging/freezing up when streaming to discord. i've tried disabling the overlay, turning on/off hardware accel, and it still won't work. what's even more weird is that when i try to stream osu, my friends only see a black screen whenever i play.

while streaming, the bottom right goes from 0.5 ms -> 3.5 ms -> 119 ms(when game freezes). i'm unsure as to what else i can do, hopefully somebody can relate or has fixed the issue.

*i can stream other games perfectly fine, games such as valorant, league, CoD, maplestory, etc. but osu is the only one that i can't stream

pc specs:

cpu: i5-12400F 12th gen intel
gpu: 3050
RAM: DDR4 16 GB
SSD: 2 TB Western Digital M.2

osu! version: Stable 20241219.2 (latest)

If you’re using Windows 11 and recently updated to version 24H2 then there’s a good chance that is the reason for both the black screen and latency spikes.

You can view your current Windows update by going to Settings > System > About.

To fix this you could try downgrading to 23H2 temporarily while you wait for another update that hopefully fixes these problems.

ahh, i see i see. i don't think i'll be downgrading it for now, but i'll be waiting in the meantime in hopes that the updates fix this issue. it's been a bit frustrating and i miss streaming osu to my friends, but i'll still manage. thank you for your time and for letting me know!
